  1. The Club would like to clarify the South End seating arrangement for the remainder of the season at AAMI Park. After the success of our ‘Own the Experience’ match at our last home game, we can confirm that the front half of bays 16, 17 & 18 on the South End of the stadium will be open Active Supporter areas and are therefore STANDING ONLY. This is a key aspect of the active supporter experience and we want to make sure there is nobody sitting in there. The areas will have a tarp to indicate the difference between the two categories. All other areas of the Yarraside will remain General Admission and GA members have the additional option of the North end of the stadium.

  2. +1 Gotta take a stand on something. Can't he find a club in his home country? Why would you say no to SImunic? Is still playing in the croatian team / plays week in week out in Croatia but runs out of contract in June and would surely be swayed by a lucrative return to his home country of Australia. Would be the best CB in the A-League. Would be handy having a player that takes 3 yellows to get sent off

  3. Now that's a local derby fight! May not be NY v NY, but its close. Imagine us seeing that in our derby! Garcia lining up vs Thompson!!! Archie would feel more at home lining up against Garcia's missus

  14. No we fucking wont, I understand what you are saying so don't say I am not, I'm just looking at it differently, I'm not being a bitch, and not letting it hurt us, it the club punish the whole home end because of cunts who broke chairs, they're fucking idiots with no clue, WE ARE THIS CLUB, WE OWE THEM NOTHING, THEY OWE US EVERYTHING. Stop letting the club control us, stand up to them, they're nothing without us. In regards to people not buying memberships because of it and associating the club with NSL - are you all that fucking thick? They are chairs, if people are scared off by chairs but aren't by flares, because we've heard that plenty of times too, I don't know what this world has come too. I'm not gonna cop that either - if people weren't going to buy memberships it would of already happened, YEARS AGO, LEAGUE WIDE because of other more serious incidents that ask made the media, but the club and league is here to stay, hence this won't be that bad, people need to calm down, it's gone out of hand, and will be forgotten once it's out of the media.

  16. People need to understand, in Australia, football is the most vaulnerable sport in the country, it would be the first sport to be discredited and discouraged. A-league is still bloody young, it's never too late to turn it around and turn into a shit storm, especially for our club, who's in the minority in our state and needing to attract new fans to sustain its growth and future. Your kidding yourself if your contempt with 5-8k crowds. You want more supporters? Particularly from other codes? Then this is the sort of shit that will ultimately lead to your demise. What makes it more sad is the fact that, it's only the club and this derby is only 3yrs old, this derby isn't quiet there yet to warrant such acts, don't confuse the Melbourne derby with a European derby between two teams with ~100yrs of history. Let's get real, grow the club and it's fanbase, and football in this country still has some way to go, it really could join the ranks of AFL and NRL, perhaps even top them in the future. But, attracting those crowds with such behaviour will not work i'm afraid.

  24. Have a long term #OneMelburnian plan for my younger cousins. Buying them Heart merch is the best place to start.. Did the same with my AFL team and they know the club song back to front. Once it is instilled into their brains they won't consider following other Visitor supporters in my family! So my point is focus on really young people around you, they are the future!

  26. Dutchy, I agree with that for you and I and the rest of Active Supporters on here that Chair Ripping is never ever going to stop us renew our Memberships every new season with relish. (It’s not going to even stop standing in area where “Chair Rippers” are known to lurk come game day.) But at the same time I have had my mother ask me today: “If I should really be going to Derbies?”, now PPL may laugh about me bringing my mum into this thread... But the fact is that it’s my Mother’s demographic of New to Soccer Middle Class Mother is a hell of a lot more important to this club’s survival than Season Diehards like you and myself. Therefore its no wonder the club is upset as the reality is that these new stories are hurting us attract such supporters.

  32. I can assure you that our club will be paying for every cent worth of damage caused in our area plus the suspended fine handed to us from last derby plus a new fine from the FFA and worst of all potentially compromising our sponsorship arrangements that are so vital to the survival of our beloved club. This incident will also have huge ramifications for the terrace as a whole and there will be consequences for the whole group and they way we support due to the actions of a few. You can call me every name you like but the simple fact of the matter is that its fucking stupid to break chairs for the sake of it/because you can and not expect a reaction like this in Australia in 2013. It's rather evident that the negatives for the terrace and the club in general far out way the 5 minute rush that snapping a chair delivers to the misguided few.

  37. Has anyone noticed that the red sash on the Kappa away top is straight, whereas on the ISC tops the sash had a slight curve to it? I prefer the Kappa away top. I also preferred the red shorts with the away top (what we wore against WSW). I know we were red shorts because WSW were wearing white shorts, but I do prefer our away kit with the red shorts over the white shorts. Just my two cents...

  38. Tbh Melbourne Victory's insults and tifos for us are pretty pathetic and always have been. Think Morwell Heart, Wheelie Bin FC, a massive turd in a Heart scarf, a junkies wrist crushing a Heart. I think they know they will be scraping the bottom of the barrel even further if they try to reference it in a way that offends us. The sky is actually blue and I don't see a problem with that. Makes more sense than there being 'one team in Melbourne', 'Victory the Brave', or 'Melbourne is red and white'. The only real insult would be flogs saying 'yeah bitches the sky will always be blue, just like this city..' Which is pretty fucking cringeworthy IMO. Let them embarrass themselves trying to nitpick our club song. If it gets so bad - just throw it back on them by asking how many times have they abandoned their club when they needed them most (reference to their Stand By Me club song). Cunts. This thread is about So Happy Together, our song. Lets stop talking about what the Mongs will think of it and just sing it as loud as you can pre kick off in the away bay at the derby. What better way to shut them up? I CANT SEE ME LOVIN NOBODY BUT YOU, FOR ALL MY LIFEEEEE.
