jw1739
Football in faraway places... Glebe Park, home of Brechin City. One of the three beautifully-trimmed beech hedges that flank this tiny ground, which apparently does not meet UEFA's standards on size. jw1739
Someone mentioned Hong Kong stadium in another thread. There are plenty of pictures of it, but here's one. Oddly enough for Hong Kong - usually so bloody organised - it appears not to have a dedicated MTR (rail) station.

Falastur
This stadium doesn't exist (well, not in this form), but this is one of the concept pictures that came out when the press were wildly speculating about where New York City FC were going to play. Honestly, it would've been a beautiful stadium if it were to have ever happened. This is supposed to be a redeveloped Pier 40 on Manhattan Island:
jw1739
Did someone explain at some stage why the Americans seem to leave one end uncovered? If they did I've forgotten the explanation.
KSK_47
I think it was people just guessing, but someone said it was because its cheaper
jw1739
Is that Spurs vs. Newcastle in an FA Cup tie at White Hart Lane 1930s or so? If so I've seen a different shot of the crowd used as an illustration of social history - nearly all (possibly all) the spectators are male and nearly all wearing caps.

Tbitm
Did someone explain at some stage why the Americans seem to leave one end uncovered? If they did I've forgotten the explanation. I think it to put a stage there for concerts. Also most MLS stadiums are built with expansion in mind and roofs complicate things. see AAMI
Dylan
Local one, drove past it whilst at work Bundooraish area, but in the Banyule council somewhere, its hidden away in the middle of a park and although the trees obsure it there is a nice steep hill there. Id play for the club who ever plays there just to play on the pitch haha
Peter
I went to a game at this stadium when I was staying with a family in Limburg. We stood on the terrace at the forefront of the picture you put up before the stadium was developed. The main stand was to the left and the stand that looks like a shed was to the right. Genk won by a big margin. I didn't know that the stadium had been developed. It looks great now. I remember thinking when I was there that it felt a bit poor, especially for a club that played in Europe. A bit like Olympic Park, but worse. Thanks for bringing back the memories
