Popular Post a-new-red
Hi guys do not let the name fool you ... im a tard, a mong whatever you want to call me ... ive just come here to say a couple of things. ( im not on our forum as most of the people there shit me anyway ) Please keep supporting your club get it back into finals contention in the near future. When i heard your club was coming into the league i was ecstatic that we had a cross town rival. Even more great is that my mates picked up on the a-league and a few of them follow the heart. Its sad to see how you are today but as of Friday night i saw a spark that i haven't seen in a while ( yes i was there i have been to 4 heart games this season ) and i hope that you continue on this spark to make football in Melbourne fun again. Of course i would rather see my team win a derby but any side you guys play outside of Melbourne i would rather see the heart pick up the points so they are at least sort of staying/coming home. In regards to derby incidents etc. there is no way known i will hate a man, woman or child for being a red & white as i see no reason to hate/hurt an opposing fan for there choice of football club (unless your club of choice is outside Victoria) On the yarraside the fact that majority are there and i know a few people in there are still displaying active support is a great effort and all should be proud.... in some ways i envy the family like culture that the heart has whereas when im at a victory game i feel as though im being judged even though i am following the same team anyway i only hope that you grow in numbers and continue your support so one day we truly have a greater atmosphere at our derbies. Call me what you like, take this how you want but just speaking honetly and truthfully. There is some good in some of us on the blue side. Here's hoping that in the near future the monopoly of FFANSW sides and Brisbane is destroyed and a Melbourne final happens what a glorious day it will be for football. Kind regards a lover of football.

mulhollanddrive
Northern Terrace are protesting against themselves, that's how much it's about them. Least we support the team.
Caddy
Thanks for the sentiment. IMO the sooner we see Victory as just another team the better. Personally, I dislike WSW more.
HEARTinator
Fooken 'ell, a sensible person that supports the Tards. Didn't know that such a person existed Seriously, I play park football with a Tard supporter that also comes to our games and he's a pretty good bloke and we get on and that's the way it should be. Banter and ribbing and fun and of course us winning more derbies than you lot What I want to see one day soon is a HAL grand final between MV and MH and selling out Etihad or having it rescheduled to MCG coz they were expecting an 80,000+ crowd. That's what I want to see for Australian football and I reckon the Melbournes clubs can deliver

NewConvert
Your story is like my brother's. He started at MV (and is still a member) but became incresingly disillusioned with all the meat heads at MV and Kevin Muscat. When MHT was announced he decided to become a member of both clubs so that the game could progress - he also figuratively put a gun to my head for me to join. These days he attends all the Heart home games but rarely does he go to the MV games. On derby day he backs the Heart. Great to see that you enjoy a good game of football and like you I hope that the slump we have been in has now bottomed out, and now we can get back to stage great derbys. belaguttman
It's funny, most MV fans are like the older brother, suddenly displaced by the arrival of a new sibling who wishes his brother dead or living away with another family. The reality though, like you say is that we need two strong teams in Melbourne, each will make the other stronger. Hopefully our shameful era will end with the sale of the franchise to someone who cares.
