A lot of the passing looked cleaner too. Even though we weren't playing anyone major, they looked a lot sharper than this time last pre-season. Nicely taken pen by GNEF - Ellis I think it was, real cool!! And their goalie was not shirking his responsibilities - looked to be good. BUT, fantastic strikes for Golgol and Garuc - the dip on Golgol's strike was classy. Mate's free+goal was excellent. Some running on and off the ball looked nice and created oppotunities near goal. Didn't see all the first half because I got detoured by the crash out front, but he had so much more energy and urgency than thommo and co had. He looked a real handful. Have to see how he goes against better players, but there was a lot of like about him. I liked how he took players on and was direct.
