HeartFc
No no but you see Ms Gillard doesn't pay much attention to polls and has expressed that verbally on several occasions... Unless of course the polls are positive. Ha.

Esp when they support their own parties spending thousands of dollars on conducting their own Polls every single year.

Braveheart
In Tony we trust. Just so you are aware, Abbott is 10 points(preferred PM) behind the supposedly stupidest, most harmful and inept Prime Minister this country has ever had. So in other words, not many are trusting Tony. Chuck Malcom back into the fold and it will be a colossal wipeout. Lets not insult either your own or my intelligence but even bothering to go there... We both know what these Polls mean. I am just bit surprised no lefties have come on here and claimed these polls not reflecting their own views on: 1. The stupidity of the Australian Public. 2. Or the Stupidity of the Australian Public in being able to brainwashed by the Coaltion again.
Che
it's not really stupidity, the ALP just do a shit job of selling their succeses to the public. I woulld also argue that they're also unfortunate in that economic conditions are pretty bad through almost no fault of their own, and the electorate naturally will never favour a government of a struggling economy. This is in my opinion why polls are bad atm, business confidence is low etc etc. Don't honestly think anyone other than Hacks care about Abott's AWU offensive, Gillard sexism offensive, etc.

Just to clear something up mate, Che was my nickname in highschool not derived from my politcal/economic beliefs. I may be left leaning but please, Cuba is an absolutely prime example of the many issues with Marxist theory. Their healthcare is good for a developing country, but as someone who works and has a strong knowledge of Australia's medical system, we have it far better here.
MKD
At the moment it is definitely one of those 'lesser of the two evil' kind of scenarios. A lot of Eastern European immigrants came to Australia with next to nothing. The underlying values of the ALP resemble the working class, despite a gradual shift to the right. Seems like too many wogs make it big here, and forget about the work of previous generations that allowed them to have such opportunities. If the Liberals had it their way, unions would be destroyed and workers would become extremely vulnerable. If Malcolm Turnbull was still at the head of the Liberal Party, I reckon they would win the next election in a land-slide. He is a very sensible Liberal. Abbott on the other hand... In a scathing judgment handed down on Wednesday, Justice Steve Rares found that the case was an "abuse of process" which had been carried out for the "purpose of causing significant public, reputational and political damage to Mr Slipper". He dismissed the claim and ordered Mr Ashby to pay his former boss's legal costs.

Its more simple that, his never been bothered to do the hard yards as a party man and prove himself a good worker instead trying to push doors open with his money and the clout of his name... Then not having done these yards - Has also left him unskilled at necessary Party Politics for any leader.
Che
Do yourself a favor, read slippers sms's then tell me he isn't a disgusting pig. Judgement was more a condemnation of the LNP's abuse of the legal system for political gain rather than judging on wether Slipper had committed any sexual harassment. Which is pretty embarassing imo for the LNP.

Judgement was more a condemnation of the LNP's abuse of the legal system for political gain rather than judging on wether Slipper had committed any sexual harassment. Which is pretty embarassing imo for the LNP. Well they clearly only "abused" the legal system because they believed Slipper was a bad egg and could use that against him and the labour party. Clearly he did commit sexual harrassment, no one tricked him into sending those texts nor was he provoked in any matter. The guys is an absolute disgrace and if anything this whole situation has left many realizing how much of a hypocrite Julia Gillard really is. The more Julia, Nikola Roxon, Penny Wong and co. defend slippery Pete the more I can't look at, let alone eat shellfish, especially if it's "floating in brine".
