MPM
Not sure if this is thread-worthy, but multiple news sites are reporting that Beckham could come to the A-League on a 10-game contract during the MLS off-season. Thoughts? Would you like to see him at Heart?
belaguttman
At least we'd then have someone who could take good set pieces and corners! Behind the hype he's not a bad footballer. All this celebrity worship is getting a bit much though. I'd rather we try for Pirlo! biancorosso7
I would go as far as to say that we are the reported club who has denied him the contract.

toogood18
Well even if he came, he won't sign for us as we have previously expressed the philosophy about marquees. I reckon he'll go to the FFA's favourite club WSW
DutchPride
I don't give a fucking shit if we don't sign marquee's, we would benefit like nothing else.

Popular Post MaliMate
Although I believe it would be a disruption to our season & team chemistry, it will be worth it for the amount of bums in seats we would get. Hot, curved, delicate bums that is.

DutchPride
Apparently open to a longer term option than just 10 games, would be absolutely huge for the league.

sharpy
ADP > Goldenballs, TBH. In terms of ability, without a doubt. In terms of bums on seats, no chance. Edited November 16, 2012 by sharpy

Peter
This was Beckhams equaliser against Montreal Impact last season. We could use this type of set piece at the moment. His general play was also good in the few games I saw of him and I think he could offer good service at A-League level for another year or so. LR9
Peter, fuck Montreal Impact... This is pretty much a 'WILD' for MHFC, pretty much exausted every other avenue for brining people through the gate. If anything was every going to work, this would be it. He 'crosses boundries' as Munn would say. Think of the birds coming through the gates to see that lad. yelawolf
fuck off )))))))))))))))))) anyway i'd be v happy to see Sir David Beckham in the A-leagues. our board need to get there shit together and sign him. a guest stint is far better than a 1 year deal to a big marquee player (e.g. Del Piero) as he won't be round for long so people will come to see him for the few games we have at home. SIGN HIM

mulhollanddrive
We got 6k to our last home game. Our future isn't certain. Not getting Beckham if available would be a bigger risk than getting him.

HeartMillsy29
YES PLEASE. This would be absolutely amazing. The hype this would create would almost be double the ADP hype. You could guarantee 10,000+ each home game. Him scoring a free kick from the edge of the box against the Victards...
Heart4Life
This is huge if we get him. My girlfriend who has zero interest in the world game just asked if I could take her to a heart game if we sign Beckham.
heart_fan10
10 game guest stint would be great for us. He'd really give us a boost in the right direction, especially if we're winning with him in the team
