Fucking hell, and Archies response to someone who calls him out on it is "haha is that all u got mate hahaha" Absolutely fucking pathetic.
  3. Only one of the about 10 Taswegians i know doesn't despise soccer - backwards indeed.
  4. We are not Sydney's West... There was no clear area of football nuts crying out for A-League recognition, which in itself is a good chunk of why WSW has been so successful with it's fans. Where they really have thrived is how engaging the club/players etc has been with those fans. As for the recruitment. You can't always have the best of the best, especially if you've already sold them off and are awaiting the next crop... And we can't just fill the gaps with our youth team, because then if the youth aren't good enough you will see us lose every game by goals galore and there will be even less fans. Club needs some work... We all know this. Time to stop the blame game and start the noise game and fucking bring it on saturday, and maybe, just maybe, our band of merry men can do something special for us in return. Had the club shown more foresight we could have. There is a town an hour away full of football fans that both Victory and Heart have neglected. Geelong is craving for a team. The A-League was stupid not to look closer at Geelong when they looked for a second Melbourne team and we are even bigger idiots for neglecting a city so big with fans that would travel. These posts are dumb - are you saying that you don't want to support the Heart anymore and that the Heart shouldn't exist? Are you with us or against us buddy? This is also not the thread to be discussing this sort of stuff. THere's about 100 expansion/ Heart marketing threads for it. Anyway i'm quietly optimistic about this game. We can still do it boys, chins up!
  5. https://soundcloud.com/octobersveryown/drake-5am-in-toronto Couldn't find a video, they're all blocked on youtube unfortunately, but cool new track from Drake.
  6. Then that's fine. Ignore previous post then.
  7. That's not a fair at all. I believe Paddy G has pretty much been one of the most consistently great players for us this year, in terms of both effort, in looking like he cares and in his actual ability on the field. I get that the heat may have been a factor in not playing him and that he's from Europe, but he's been playing in the heat of summer all year. The A-League is only 28 rounds, there are no midweek cup ties or doubling up in the weeks either. Paddy has also had a few suspensions throughout the year including one in Feb if i'm not mistaken. When we played our last game more than a week ago. Now i have absolutely no idea wether Paddy has some niggling injuries or anything like that in which case his omission makes sense, but given we needed our strongest squad out and JA told the press that we effectively had a 'full squad' earlier this week, i just don't quite understand the thinking behind leaving him out of the team under the auspices of 'needing a rest' when he is one of our best players ahead of an extremely important game when he has relatively recently had a rest. I'm happy to support JA and i generally don't have too many complaints with him - he has done well with what he has i reckon. But i think that this was a questionable decision to leave him out of the squad last night. I don't think i would be 'the same flog' who would then criticize him for being played if he got injured - that's a ridiculous call. I'm also not suggesting that the whole game was lost because of Paddy's omission - everyone on the pitch was shite really last night and probably his impact outside of a better organized defence and a bit of on field leadership would have made minimal effect on the end result.. But in my opinion we didn't field our strongest squad for what was a really important game, and that's a bit frustrating.
  8. i don't think you want to start a mud slinging match as to why people didnt chant yesterday as tbh you chant selection was horrible, the sound of that mega was horrible, the gaps in between chants was too long and that drumming was atrocious. I know its a poisoned chalice, no one else wants to do it, but we seriously need to view a new full time capo and drummer. What did you do to help? well there isnt many people who start chants from the back pal, but your talking to one of them I don't know anything about how Yarraside works or anything like that but i'm guessing that doesn't do much to help the Capo lead chants for the whole terrace...
  9. Only watched last 20 minutes, glad i did. Sorry but why the fuck did Gerhardt need to be rested? These guys play 1 game a week ffs. PS for the record Yarraside sounded alright on tv for the crowd that attended.
  10. Unnecesary buddy. This is a much better idea than ridiculous and often pointless protests (this goes for mvfc/hoarder as well) and press releases that toy with notions of justice and other pseudo intellectual bs.
  11. Played in the Turkish Cup against Sivaspor a while back as well, big congrats to him!
  12. Reckon Germano could be dropped to the bench this week in favour of Meeuwis and in order to protect Thompson's ambition of playing 200 this weekend. suspect otherwise that we'd play a fairly similar team to last week.
  13. Over the last week or so i've become obsessed with this "the girl from ipanema goes to greenland" by the B-52's. It's just so rediculously catchy and amazing for some reason. IS this counted as New Wave? If so what music sounds like this?
  14. Thunder have a 10 game lockout don't they? From the GF... This was the result of their appeal
  15. Haven't heard anyone use the word dweebs since i was 8.
  16. Would be an excellent replacement for Fred, would be a great signing for us. Can see him going to Victory though to be with Ange etc.
  17. Victorian Liberal Party is now as much as a joke as Federal Labor   :droy: :lawl: At least leaders of the ALP don't quit because they can't be fucked anymore, they have to be properly ratfucked. "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players" OH how i enjoy Australian Politics endless cycle of
  18. Bloody hell, Man United fans on facebook being butthurt is insufferable. What's worse is Sportsbet fueling the flames by giving back money bet on Man U to win the game / qualify for quarters / win the champions league. FFS this is football, if you bet on football you bet with the knowledge that freak decisions like this both happen and can effect games Jose though
  19. I have somehow ended up as someone who pretty much only drinks Rum. Will give Kraken a whirl on this advice. Fantastic thread 10/10 five stars will frequent. Encouraging appreciation of alcohol over over-consumption also =
  20. Do you have a source for that? Twat.
  21. Awesome if true, doubtful as to whether it will actually end up happening though
