http://www.heraldsun...x-1226589119626 Words fail me here. They really do Was legit researching potential essay about global notions of traditional justice and their interactions with modern legal systems. Was going to focus on Ugandan traditional justice but now i think i'll focus on NT Hoarder 'justice'. 'justice' fucking rofl.
  6. Toxic shit Luca$h. Think's he's above Australian football. Doesn't deserve to be national captain with that shocking attitude towards the fans that have given him so much in his footballing career. Fuck off back to Qatar and stand him down as captain. Doesn't deserve our country's hospitality anymore. Now extremely glad we didn't sign him.
  7. I think we should look to South America for a big friendly. Would say that Santos through Neymar would bring the crowd, likewise At. Mineiro through Ronaldinho. + Would be cheaper, and would be a good warm up for the Brazilian clubs that start in May.
  8. They're not the saviour by any strecth, but i think the league is far better for them being there.

classic banter in the last few pages of this thread, 10/10 would read again
  10. South island can barely support its hospital system let alone a franchise of an unpopular Australian football code. Auckland could be interesting, but the Kungz/Knights weren't especially succesful. NZ derby might be interesting though. I know some bloody passionate Geelong/AFL club supporters that would follow anything their club did, reckon it could potentially work - not that i think Geelong is at all viable as an A-League destination.
  11. Considering our home and away record this season, accordingly I think the above is more realistic. Yeah maybe, but I really think we can beat Brisbane whilst i'm less sure about Adelaide. So for me, mine is the more realistic option.
  12. Confident that if we can get a win in Dunedin that things will fall into place nicely for us, irrespective of our shit away form. Think there's a good feeling at the club right now. Run Home - Che's predictions Melbourne Heart Wellington Away - Win Adelaide Home - draw West Sydney Home - draw Brisbane Away - Win CCM Away - loss +8 points 35 points total Can't really be bothered looking at the other clubs until second last round or so.
  13. Hoping that based on the precedent of starting Kalmar over Fred the last couple of weeks that JA is more inclined now to sideline the older players, though would help if Shime was injured or something. Quietly confident about this game actually.
  14. ffs this has become as useful/interesting as the old Transfers thread. Mindless.
  15. I just had a flick through of the crawford report, i don't think it did go into any detail at all about what population bases could support a football team...
  16. I'm passionate about our nations capital if you dont like straya then you can get out
  17. Canberra has aprox 16,000 registered players - definitly more per capita than anywhere else in Australia - and is significantly larger in actual population than North Queensland, so no, gtfo. Canberra already has a W-League team for christ sake, clearly the best option. Also i don't understand the argument of 'If North Queensland was done properly". What wasn't done properly about it back when they actually existed and failed?
  18. This is discussed at length every second month in topic with a variety of headings, And Inb4 Che adovates Canberra for the next A League team. Canberra is the only viable expansion at the moment, and it should have been done this season ffs. But to be fair i was wrong about Western Sydney being succesful in the thousands of other expansion threads, kudos to FFA / West Sydney for doing so well. But surely this is incentive for FFA to keep expanding in the next few years.
  19. Simunic Although he probably doesn't need to be a marquee
  20. havent been this excited for a heart game for a while, will be streaming with great anticipation tonight!
  21. Left wing alternative to mainstream parties? Seems like a fairly legit reason to exist Very counter-productive in all honesty. All they do is steal focus, emphasis and votes from the only party with a philosophical basis in improving the lives of the working class. They are also a party of yuppies whose Chardonnay-socialist support base cares more about Tasmanian forests than public education, health or industrial relations. Perhaps some might argue that they are playing the long game by looking after the interests of the planet ie Climate Change etc. but this just reinforces the ideological chasm that exists between the conceptual foundations of the two left of centre parties, as such a fanatical devotion to environmental protection comes from the privileged bourgeois lefty-set who have the financial security to politically prioritise the needs of whales over working people. If you are living hand to mouth, can't afford to buy your kids school clothes and worried about how you are going to pay for your mother's hip surgery, the last thing on your mind is going to be picketing the felling of fucking Huon Pine in Tassie or how binding the new carbon targets are going to be at the next UNFCCC COP. A party of very self-centred individualists who have the means to prioritise issues that divert the macro-political discourse away from policy that would genuinely improve the opportunities of working people and safe-guard the advances the labour movement has provided over the last 150 years in this country from those that would seek to take them all. FUCK THE GREENS. Solidarity. Good response, i'll pay that.
  22. Left wing alternative to mainstream parties? Seems like a fairly legit reason to exist Will be supporting Simon Sheikh for senate during next federal election over Zed Seselja, who is right-wing for the sake of being right-wing.
