Don't say that...he's offered more than enough to Australian Football over his career to warrant some more respect than that... ...in fact, I suggest that if he had not previously played for Victory we would welcome him with open arms. He is one of the very small number of 'names' who are known to most people other than 'football people' and therefore one of the few who would put a significant extra number of bums on seats at AAMI Park. Fact of the matter is though that he has played for Victory, and is unable to hold a contract in the U.A.E in turn suggesting that he is currently shit. I think the perception of him amongst the general population has swerved enough against him now that he would genuinely be a very poor marquee.

I'm anglo, but when I talk about A-League or VPL or Water Polo to my friends most assume that i'm some sort of weird european ethnicity, so when they ask i usually say that i'm Croatian. What can I do / say to make the illusion better?

A fiscal policy to suit the economic climate would be one with a deficit equal to the cyclical deficit or an even greater deficit than the cyclical one, they've gone for a deficit lower than the cyclical one (by cutting spending and increasing tax), because they didn't want it to blow out too much after promising a surplus. Fair point. I went through the budget properly today, very bizzarre. Using contractionary fiscal policy like cutting spending during cyclical downturn is beyond me and my economic understanding.
