  1. I don't know who from the coaching staff needs to hear this, but our best midfield trio is Sakhi, Arslan and Lopane. Don't bloody change it, fit things to work around that
  2. I can't be the only one who is slightly concerned about Nabbout coming back, he was meant to be out for season and he is back 3 months ahead of schedule. It's not a couple weeks, he was either misdiagnosed or has the healing powers never seen before. I just hope he isn't being rushed back before he is ready
  3. They do have Rukavytska, but he can't get on the park
  4. We haven't sacrificed a home game, this is just an added game to the fixture. We will play our original home game against WSW at a later date, probably a midweek game. The game on Monday night between Adelaide and Macarthur I believe was their make up match for this week.
  5. They have a squad of either really good aleague standard players - Risdon, Imai, Penha, Thurgate, I think Hewerd Belle is alright as is Botic... Or absolute battlers - Tratt, Lustica, Wales, Danzaki, Ruhs, Najjarine. And not a hell of alot in between. When they were good, their worst players were still of a reasonable aleague standard. They got really lucky for 1 season on the back of Lacroix, Young and Prijovic, apart from that they have been irrelevant and pretty rubbish
  6. Glover was awarded MOTM by the BBC coverage and on social media Middlesbrough fans are starting to say that their original number 1 isn't guaranteed to gain his spot back when he returns from AFCON. So Tommy must be going pretty well over there
  7. From all reports Karacic had offers from a few different aleague clubs and he rejected them all and wants to stay in Europe. Although he is "Australian" he isn't from here and has no pull or desire to come here by sounds of it
  8. It always looked like a move that he would struggle to get great Gametime, although there are better teams in Europe. Celtic is one of the hardest to break into cause they never lose and need to change the team. I also don't think it was a terrible move though, like Arzani it would be hard for when a team of that stature comes calling to knock them back and say nah I'll go somewhere worse, you take the opportunity when it comes. If we can get him back for 6 months give him some gametime, and hopefully he will be better equipped to go back and have another shot at it
  9. Leckie plays, there is no question on that. I do wonder though if he could play as a midfielder in a trio with Sakhi and Arslan. The midfield looks better with Sakhi as the 6 I think, but we haven't found the 3rd cog to play every game yet I don't think. Bit like when we played all of Maclaren, Tilio, Leckie and Nabbout last season But in saying that, it's 1 performance by Natel against a team that I think I could have scored if I played with that much space and little pressure, I'm nowhere near convinced by him. Right now he has probably got himself a start next week, but that's all at the moment
  10. Who the hell is this free flowing attacking team wearing city blue, and what have they done with the team we have seen for last 8 weeks
  11. Owes us absolutely nothing, if he goes to for 1 last challenge and possible payday he goes with our best wishes and an open invitation for the door to be open if he returns
  12. 0-0 vs Victory 3 Behich 2 Arslan 1 Young
  13. Really felt like a game of two sides who were worried what the other could do on the counter and if given space, so there was a lack of pressure on the ball and both teams were defensively disciplined. The back 4 were as solid as we have seen them and Young came up with the 2 big saves when it was needed. The attack still needs work. Jakolis is frustrating and Natel flat out sucks. We need to find a different answer to our front 3 until Leckie is back again I think
  14. 214 million people in Brazil, how have we got the 1 Brazillian who sucks
  15. You damn near needed to get decapitated in the 1st half to get a foul, both sides had fouls that were waved away. And then he gives that, inconsistent shit refereeing from a bloke who wants to make the game about himself
  16. Tommy Glover looks like he will get a bit of a run as starting keeper for Middlesbrough, their current number 1 has a thigh injury and then is likely to go to AFCON with Senegal. As long as Glover doesn't get picked for Asian Cup squad and Senegal go as well as expected, he could be starting up to 6 or 7 league matches as well as any cup games in that time.
  17. This one is very simple, stop Bruno and you stop them. While everyone is wanking themselves over Victory form. They have 19 goals and he has been involved in 14 of them, looks to me like a 1 man attacking team to me. Do I have any confidence we can stop him, absolutely not. So probably a 3 or 4 to 1 loss
  18. And it's the same feeling I've had in 80% of our games. We just have alot of okay players, but don't really have the quality or consistency to be a proper threat over 90 minutes. Natal is the only player I'd say is absolutely rubbish, the rest bar Arslan and a fit Maclaren arnt up to the quality we had in past. We are going to get smacked next week the way it's looking
  19. I don't agree we totally missed him, we had both him and Metcalfe coming through at exact same time. They play similar positions and with the system we use and with ONeill and Luna in midfield they both couldn't play. We chose Metcalfe and I'm very comfortable with that. I think we knew Genreau would be good, it just wasn't with us at that point in time
  20. I mean we are stiff again, but it's all our own doing. No one to blame but ourselves. On a side note Incheon finished 3rd in their group with 12 points, they are more unlucky than us
  21. Disgusted, I am no longer a Bangkok supporter. I gave all I had to that club for 90 minutes and this is how they repay me
  22. Kofu are 2 nil up, were going to have to get our skates on if we want to finish top
  23. We seem to only give young guys a go who are elite, think of the ones who have played regular games only last 5 seasons. Metcalfe, Atkinson, Tilio, Bos, Glover, Talbot, O'Neill. All are easily best 11, and we have been quick to ship off players like Najjar, Najjarine, Pierias who are ok but probably capped at an aleague level. I'm not sure if this is by design that we don't waste our time on Gametime on young guys who wouldn't provide us with a future profit or if it's just worked out this way, but I find it interesting none the less.
