I don't think playing in a team full of people not playing well is an advantage, because you have to work hard to do basically anything and keep your own energy up in a flat team. Eg no looking good because you were in the right place for a good pass etc. If Mooy doesn't get best of the season it's a travesty. Yeah the competition earlier in the season wasn't great but it's not like people were going, hmmm I suppose he's the best of a bad bunch, he was obviously better than everyone else.

Not the best final game, but could have been worse. Story of the season really. Positives: Paartalu had a good game, consistently involved in the play. Retre actually did really well when he came on too. Another solid performance from Kisnorbo and it was good to see Melling coming back. One of Koren's better games too although we still need more from him. Cons: Jaliens is better at centre back and struggled. And we still have issues with our forwards and it's not possible to draw your way to the grand final, you have to actually score some goals. Disappointing the team didn't come around post match given it was the last home game of the season, I assume because of the members function afterwards? Did anyone go, my friend wasn't keen so we skipped it.

I think on any given day, we can beat any of the teams above us anywhere, but because of our lack of mental strength, we're not going to be able to back that up for three weeks and go all the way. Too right. In regards to the pissants based on the highlights package, on most nights they would have lost by 3 or 4 to Sydney (8 if Redmayne was in goal). I don't fear anyone but having to win 4? in a row away is a big problem ( is it 4? Being a heart supporter I've never had to worry how the finals work) 3 in a row (4th to 6th place play first week, then 1st and 2nd play the two winners in the semis, then the winners play the grand final). Anyway I agree, can't see us winning all 3, hope we at least play well. Semi finals would be good.

It wouldn't be the first time things have happened at the club and they haven't told us, though.

All finals tickets are done by the FFA, not the clubs. There would be a 'football family' presale etc and then it'd be open to the public. In short, yes.

I think we have to be careful not to get too carried away by Tando - he is an improvement, but so is our defense generally, which contributes to our overall better performance. Tando's still learning.

I think it's a bad idea, it might help the CFC's SE Asian profile but the logistics will be a nightmare and if the ratings are consistently down for clubs playing Wellington compared to playing other clubs, how bad would they be for clubs from Indonesia? And it trashes our national league because they'd be replacing it with this league. Not content with changing our club's identity, they're after the while bloody league.

Definitely worth making finals, mostly so that next season it's not totally unfamiliar. But we're not looking like a team that can go past week one at the moment.

Good to get the 3 points but not a very inspiring performance leading up to finals. Was hoping we'd finally see Koren have a great game, if only because he's signed for next season, but nope. Brown looks like he'll be out for a while, Kennedy still looks underdone.
