I think we are gonna be alright, the chances have been good chances and we are breaking WSW down. The key difference with us this game and the City/Heart teams of past is that in past we would dominate game, but not really create good chances. This game, despite them parking the bus, we are still breaking them down.

I think a failure of APL is that due to the intel of a potential pitch invasion, they should have instructed the referee to suspend match at 20 minute mark and resume once the situation had resolved (likely with Vicpol and security forming barrier to pitch). Was discussing with mates at around 15 minute mark whether the referee would temporarily suspend the game, how it was not thought of by the powers that be is surprising.

The pitch invasion was pre-planned, numerous MVFC supporters with life bans were in attendance with their OSM pals. There was a reason why they all didn't walk out on 20 mins. If you watch the side angle of the video where Gliver throws the flare you can see some of them already starting to go over the fence and security moving in prior to the flare being thrown into the NT. Glover fucked up, n should be punished for that, but he can't be blamed for something that OSM planned to do.

Club have confirmed he is off to Troyes. I have been quite a vocal critic of his, but I do genuinely hope he does well.

Good is an interrsting one as he made a lot of sloppy passes, a few of which did nearly catch us out (though strangely he did nail two 40/50 yard cross field balls to wingers/forwards).

I think there is a distinction between our disallowed goal and Wellington's last night. When they showed the replay with the angle behind the shot you can see that at no time does their player obstruct Glover's view, the same cannot be said of our disallowed goal against Sydney. Whilst disallowing our goal is technically correct, it is very frustrating as goals are frequently not denied in similar circumstances. Re the penalty, agree that control of the ball has nothing to do with it (it will only impact what card, if any is given). I think it was a penalty, but don't think it was clear cut. The only thing I can think of as to why it wasn't given was that Jmac already looked to be hitting the deck before the contact.

I dont mind a midfield 3 of O'Neil, Berisha and Leckie. I think some of Leckie's best games for us have been at CAM and it allows Tillio more time on the park.
