Hi folks, haven't been on the forum in a while so sorry if there is a thread dedicated to this topic already. Searched around for a bit and couldn't find one, so thought I'd just leave this here. I sent this email to the club in response to their request for feedback on the club songs for this season. I presume there are some similar opinions from people on here?

IMO it's too early to tell whether there is any growth in memberships from last year at all. All we're really seeing so far is that more people have joined up than at the same time last year. It's a moot point whether that is a predictor of what the final number will be. As for the game in Frankston? I really have my doubts as to whether this has anything significant to do with the increase in numbers over the weekend. Possibly some people would have found it expedient to take out a membership at the game rather than on-line or by post or whatever, possibly a few juniors would have signed up because they met Harry, but I'm not sure that you become a member of MHFC because the youth team beat a scratch team of locals 4-1. I found the game itself to be rather bland TBH. No announcements about the team, substitutions, goalscorers etc. - I just happened to be able to recognize some of the Heart players but I would think that anyone not associated with the game wouldn't have been particularly inspired by what was on offer. IMO what we're doing in Shepparton, Frankston etc. is building an awareness of the club. This will benefit both us and the game in the longer-term. I don't think we're playing very exciting football under JA. We don't seem to have anyone who can lift the crowd every time he gets the ball - I think we're hoping the likes of Mifsud can deliver in that respect. I don't resile from the view that the key to our future is delivering excitement, flair, goals, wins, passion, spectacle, etc. at AAMI. This is what will cause someone to decide "I wan't to be a part of that"; all the rest will feed off that in the building of the club in the longer-term.

Mate i feel your pain. Normally im already plastered by 5pm, but this derby i have to be a good boy and keep it to a couple of drinks as the misses is due around that time .Last thing id want is to be spastic drunk (like i noramlly am) for the birth if she goes into labor that night. Looking on the bright side though. At least i more then likely will watch the full game and wont get kicked out for the 3rd time.... hopefully

Breaking Bad ending from me gets a score of 8.5/10 and importantly they managed to pull of five strong seasons. The Sopranos ending got around a 5/10 and TBH its Season 2 was not up to par with the other five seasons. I think its pretty fair to say that BB has not overpassed The Soprano's but is at least now nipping at its heels as the best drama of all time.

We need to bulid a bridge and get over it. No point giving it to him cause it isnt going to change the fact that he's now our captain. Lets back the bloke until he gives us reason not too.

Thanks honey, you'll never please everyone with a 'club song' but it seemed as if we were onto pleasing the majority of people with So Happy Together. Pray that if it does go, there's a worthy alternative and it's not being changed for the sake of it. I am fearful of having another club selected tune regurgitated out of the fan engagement department and forced down our throats. I CANT SEE ME LOVING NOBODY BUT YOU

I can see the confusion for Holger or the FFA with who to select for the socceroos at present. We have the older guys, who obviously aren't as good as they once were and the younger guys who maybe are never going to be that good? So who should be selected? Basically I think that Brazil game was a wake up call (it wasn't the 6-0 loss that was so bad, it was the fact that the score flattered us that really hurt). If we play the "aging stars" we'll get flogged in the World Cup. If we are going to get flogged, let's do it with some guys with a future. I'm not saying don't pick anyone over 30 but every player over 30 needs to be under intense scrutiny for their spot. Sorry boys- you've done a lot for the country and you got us qualified this time around as well but selectors have to be ruthless. Come on FFA lets pick some players with a future, under a manager with a future. Who knows, with a manager who believes, maybe they can even be competitive.

I understand the practice exam part, But I honestly believe Ghod created lectures for nursing hang overs. Never been aware of another practical reason for lecture honestly. I did Arts, So another reason was working out who were the more attractive gals taking the course, And then working out on how to befriend them so you could get lifts home, do FA in group projects, copy their notes, look over their essays and be seen with them around Uni to show off to your mates. Yep - I was a pretty lazy and shit student.

It took three years for an reasonable amount of PPL to agree to "So Happy Together" so why do we have to do this process of PPL suggesting and arguing over each others Music Taste??? Edit the "So Happy Together" so it only includes the First Verse and the Chorus a few times so its much easier to sing, Then cut the song for a second so the crowd can yell out that the sky is "RED" instead of "Blue". And we are done.
