This is going to sound really harsh to say but his now 25 and still has a long way to go in his career but the a league seems to be heading into playing younger players and developing them. So unless you're a star player you're better off playing a younger player who has a higher ceiling. It's why we need more teams and a second division so everyone is playing

I feel like it's the unpopular opinion but I wouldn't be that interested in Piscopo, always injured, doesn't really defend and floats in and out of games. Fits into that got talent but doesn't show it anywhere near enough category. Not a player we need. We have Arslan as the creator in midfield, we need consistent players with a bit of C*** about them.

I understood they were decided at the time. I’m not surprised Talbot took a pen he had relatively fresh legs and is now an experienced player. I was a little surprised Leckie was subbed but he was out on his feet by then I thought and dead legs aren’t great for pens in any case.

Before the shootout on the telecast you can see Popovic with his notepad with Miranda next to him and he is writing and the pointing to a player and telling him what number taker he is. They were definitely working it out and communicating it with his players 2 minutes before the shootout

How anyone in their right mind could contemplate giving Vidmar a contract for the next two years is completely beyond me. The club has failed in every way both on and off the pitch this season. The FFA Cup, the Asian Champions League and now the A-League - all failures, and the style of play is utter shit as has been mentioned elsewhere.

The A-League teams should be winning that tournament every season to be fair. That second tier of the AFC is weak whereas the ACL is much stronger competition...
