  1. We already know where Bozza's loyalties lie when it comes to a Melbourne Derby.
  2. Dirty, cheating useless scum. We're making them look very ordinary.
  3. Well if I needed any proof that Victory fans are filth, I've just met them in the queue to get through gate 2. Pushed me and my wife out of the way, behaving like shit.
  4. I'm so hoping there will be some news to lift us JW. I can't rouse much enthusiasm for the club right now. Time for a serious reset with the fans.
  5. Don't want him. Washed up Victory bastard. Not one of us, never will be. Plenty of other ex Vic players I could cope with, but not him.
  6. Agreed. Consistency. We don't do it and never have.
  7. Indeed. It was an away win, hard fought, against one of the better sides in the league. I reckon despite all the caveats, perhaps even because of them, our best performance of the season. Not our prettiest or most memorable, but the one that indicated we can do more than win at home against weak sides. Ps, I know, derby. We fluked it, and it was a first day of the season derby win. I think in real terms this means more. Adelaide were only as good as we let them be.
  8. Well I gave us a snowball's chance in hell of getting anything out of this match. In the end, typical away win, not pretty, absorbed a lot of pressure, took our chances and rode our luck. Credit to a defence that held up well, and increasingly impressed with Delbridge, who is looking head and shoulders above where he was last season. Also liking what I'm seeing from Lachie and Riley. Downsides? On another day it wouldn't have worked out as well. We struggle to create chances, we're not easy to watch, and we obviously and desperately lack a striker. Perth and Victory are already way ahead, and the best we're doing is fighting Sydney for third. We're still horribly inconsistent so that's probably way too optimistic in itself. Unfortunately we find ourselves waiting for the transfer window again. De Laet is injured, Bruno frozen out and the Melburnians have imploded, again.
  9. In seven years of supporting, I don't recall ever feeling bleaker about where we are heading, or less engaged and enthused about the club. This is another season which will amount to nothing, almost certainly a worse outcome than the previous three seasons. We could well be down at the level we were as Heart, and at least then we had no expectations. Merry Christmas.
  10. 8 points behind Victory. Will be eleven points behind Perth if they win. If Newcastle win we're in seventh. Cos we're getting nothing.
  11. The only one that will sell is the Mooy tifo scarf. And for now I'm keeping my cash in my pocket where City are concerned.
  12. Agreed, in and of itself youth development is excellent and a credit to the club. But it must contribute to success on the pitch, or at least not detract from it. That's the bit CFG need to get right. No use having a great youth development program and finishing sixth.
  13. I fear we are the Black Knight of the A League. Indeed. We'd have an identity if we had a trophy cabinet.
  14. Depends where you live. Bloody great for me. You're making like Geelong is on the other end of the earth. Anyway, if you live down my way Richmond is a pig of a place to get to, and particularly to get back from after a night match. There's a decent train service between Geelong and Tarneit, so it's not going to be too much of a stretch to assume that people can travel between the two locations.
  15. Why stop there? Hell, he'll fall out with half the team and get rid of them if he wants...
  16. So they'll play in red and white, they'll have Bruno, and they'll be just up the road from me...
  17. I'll go and watch them as they're just down the road in Geelong, and then just up the road in Tarneit. Whether I transfer my loyalties will depend a lot on whether City wake up to just how much they are pissing off their supporters right now.
  18. Walsall beat Sunderland away in the Cup this morning, so miracles can happen. But twice in a week is pushing it.
