I could perhaps see them moving it to somewhere like Epping then. Much bigger ground which has hosted W-League and FFA Cup games before and still in the general vicinity of Hume’s normal home (especially compared to something like Lakeside)

Drawn away to Hume City in RO16. Presumably at ABD Stadium in Broadmeadows. Good to have another NPL Vic away day.

I found Glover to kinda be the weakest link last year. Too many heart-in-mouth moments and not the most reliable. I’m backing him to step up this year though. Already showing good signs with that save in the cup

If Atkisnson does leave to Europe it would've been nice to hold onto him, but can understand why he'd want to leave. Good enough to start for most teams in the league but was stuck on our bench.

So we have 2 visa spots free (Could be up to 4 depending on Flo and Luna.) I've been thinking about what we can do with them to strengthen our XI. How would people feel about using a visa spot on a more experienced keeper? Worked out well for us when we brought in Sorenson. Don't get me wrong I like Glover and I love our current mantra of prioritising young Aussie players, but he still is only 23 and a little bit of competition could actually help him out in the long run. At the moment he is our undisputed no. 1 despite the many heart in mouth moments he produces because the only other keeper we have is even younger and even more inexperienced. So perhaps using a visa spot on a keeper could be something to think about.

While it can be said he had very little impact for a visa player I certainly do not think he was a failure. Provided good depth and clearly always had a crack when he was on and will now go down in history as a part of our first every championship winning squad. We also would’ve gotten more use out of him if we hadn’t pulled out of the ACL and if the FFA cup went ahead. At just 21 I can definitley see him becoming someone in the J-League and perhaps one day we’ll run into him again in the Champions league and be reminded that oh this guy used to play for us

I wonder if there are any plans to build a small grandstand along one of the pitches to host W-League, NPL, pre-season games etc.
