Idk how likely it would be but imagine a front three of Nabbout-Maclaren-Leckie. That's just about as good as it gets for Australian players and he'd be an upgrade on Noone.

Just got my tickets and getting excited for this one. Hope we can keep our run against WU going, they've really been our bunny ever since they were formed. Currently 5-0-0 against them with an aggregate score of 12 - 5.

Now I know there's plenty of time to go before finals and I'm not trying to get ahead of myself by declaring we will certainly be there, but it's looking likely. It's been alluded to in other threads so apologies if it was unnecessary to create a new one but I figured we'd all want to rant about this and share our thoughts as more news comes out. The league has amateurishly decided not to pause for international breaks and thus we will likely be missing a number of players as this falls right on finals time. We will be missing 6 first XI players FFS. Other teams like WSW and SFC will also suffer due to this, although we will be the most impacted team. Hopefully the league comes to its sense and postpones the finals, or brings them in earlier, or even just cancels them and awards the premiers plate as the championship. When you also throw in the disruption from the ACL our season suddenly starts to look a lot more difficult. Obviously as an Australian football fan I want our national teams to do well but this is very annoying. What does everyone think?

Mark Birighitti is easily one of the best goalkeepers in this country and he showed it again tonight. Doesn’t matter now but displays yet another fault of past management that Joyce would continually pick a cooked Galekovic over him when he was with us.

Eventually Europe will come calling for some of these boys, and that’s a good thing if so and will only inspire more prospects to join our academy but I never ever want to see any of these guys playing for another A-league club. Huge failing as a club if so. I’m very glad we were able to rescue Atkinson from Perth and we can’t allow a similar situation to happen again.

Well that was simply superb. Not a bad performer on the pitch and great to see Metcalfe and Cola amongst the goals. To think we missed a penalty and a number of other clear chances too... coulda been 9-0. Also, that was huge for our GD and we're up to fourth on the table with a game in hand - keep this form up and we're going places.

Should be 2-0 up already. We better capitalise soon
