Just looked into this a little more and found a article posted yesterday (that was in spanish) which confirms he had left us on a loan which ended at the end of 2020. It also says he wants to continue playing abroad so I guess it’s possible he could return? But probably not.

I don’t think so. I think he technically left on a loan and so I guess it’s just officially lapsed? But no idea really.

Why did all the Eastern teams just play in Qatar over the last month? I’m not saying it makes any sense it just seems consistent with some of the stupid shit the AFC do. Obviously I hope it doesn’t come to that and I personally think it’d be perfectly fine to have in Melbourne.

The game against Shan is a one-leg home game for us and if we win we need to win a one-leg game away in Japan to make the group stage. This is meant to happen across March and April. I can’t really see the Australian/Victorian government letting a bunch of random Burmese football players in though so perhaps we’ll have to meet them at a neutral venue (Qatar?), so it could be very disruptive to our season. Hopefully we can have it at AAMI though, would love to attend our first champions league game. Also I looked into Shan Utd... and they are seriously not a good team. They’ve played in the AFC cup the last 3 years with a combined record of 1-0-14 (GD: -32) while playing against Cambodian and Singaporean sides. We really should be trouncing these guys. So basically, i’m expecting a frustrating and cagey 1-0.

I reckon we keep playing out of AAMI for the foreseeable future, but be prepared for many many surveys about how you would feel about a move to Dandenong. We'll also probably move all Women's, Youth and even Cup games to Dandenong or Cranbourne and if they go well then we could see Mens games beginning to shift that way too. If we were to build a stadium in the SE, I hope we'd do it in Dandenong and not Cranbourne. Cranbourne is tough to get to but Dandenong is okay.

Caceres and Brattan were both technically on loan from Manchester

Played 34 games in J2 this year and is only 20, so it's kinda impossible to judge how good he's going to be but i'm optimistic. Yokohama fans on twitter seem to really rate him but yeah obviously not a very big resume yet.

It's pretty sad to see how poorly all the A-League clubs are going in the current campaign. In the Group Stage so far Syd, Perth and MV have a collective record of 1-1-8, with the only win coming against a Thai team (which was 1 - 0, and the goal was a penalty). Obviously there are reasons behind it all and all the squads aren't complete, but it's been trending this way ever since WSW won the thing. I really hope we are able to buck this trend and actually make a decent run. I'm cautiously optimistic, and it would be very good for the league in general. Could potentially be a disaster though... we'll see.

So we have 4 fullbacks now, all of which are definitley good enough to be starting matches in the ALeague + our captain. Could this mean Galloway might be on the move? Or perhaps we will start transitioning Jammo to more of a bench role? Also, anyone know how many years Garrucio's deal is?

I think it would've been wise to keep one of them, but I doubt it'll be detrimental. They'll both get more game time over there than here. Maybe we'd be able to recall them from loan if we need?
