  1. I've been meaning to ask for a while what you do for a living. Because your life sounds way more interesting than mine.
  2. Interesting read Jovan. I wonder how much autonomy Girona maintain?
  3. New Zealand need to bite the bullet and join the AFC. Alternatively, FIFA need to dissolve the OFC. I don't see the long-term benefit of the Kiwis in remaining in Oceania. They play one meaningful game every four years when they reach the playoffs. Surely the fans must wish they played some actual footballing countries outside of friendlies...
  4. Alex Wilkinson came back to us from Korea I believe. Matt Jurman is currently over there also too.
  5. He's just trying to make ends meet guys... nothing wrong with a few odd jobs here and there.
  6. I bet the Russian hooligans will be disappointed that there will be no American fans to beat up now.
  7. I'm normally on top of these things, however I had to google that one. I'm glad I did.
  8. Normally I would assume you are being facetious, but with your posting history I'm not so sure...
  9. I genuinely can't believe they're letting Archie Thompson on air. If he is still employed in the media next year I'll be amazed.
  10. Two and a half games clear of dropping with a poor team, in my opinion he's doing well enough.
  11. Pffttt... I want him tarred and feathered if we don't have at least 9 points from the first 3 rounds with a goal difference of +15.
  12. I don't think even CFG can get 6 visas into our XI.
  13. Just a back strain or similar. Ran around for a bit before being subbed.
  14. As long as I get to see Budzinski and Schenkeveld have a decent run I am happy. Of course, a 30-yard Budzinski screamer will make me even happier...
  15. I'm actually pretty excited about his signing. But for what it's worth, I was also excited about us signing a 26-year-old from Boca Juniors and we know how that panned out. Nevertheless, I prefer these kind of signings to the 37-year-old Kevin Muscat lookalikes that Aloisi keeps signing.
  16. Looks tacky as hell. Oh well, I look forward to the clash with our hated rival, KFC Victory.
  17. His weak foot is 4 stars? I call bullshit.
  18. As bad as Malik was, I thought Kamoo would have walked this When Kamau faded out of the game at least it meant he wasn't fucking up everything he touched.
  19. Am I being too harsh in saying that Bruce Kamau is stealing a living?
  20. I know the argument is that they are being paid their worth in a competitive market. But I honestly can't see how one person can be worth that much to a long-established company. Particularly so when their business model is one of the oldest in human civilisation. I went to a talk a couple of months ago where a former CEO of a prominent multi-national was talking about his time building his company up. While it was very impressive and all, one of the things he hung his hat on was that he identified a celebrity that would be recognised across Australia (in this case the captain of the Australian cricket team). Give me a seven-figure salary and I'm sure that I could work something out.
  21. I lurk the Huddersfield forum semi-regularly and make a point to read everything regarding Mooy. You're correct, as of last season the general consensus seemed to be that he was their best ever player, but it certainly took a while for them to warm up to him. This of course, wasn't helped by some cringe-worthy Melbourne City (and other A-League fans) fans shitting up their forums. From my recollection, I believe some of our forum's resident shitposters may have been among the worst culprits,
  22. From memory, I believe it was to the effect of "why are we getting some colonial who failed at Bolton, and has since been plying his trade in a footballing backwater". But that was a bit of a knee-jerk response to some overzealous A-League fans hailing him as the second coming of Messi, and questioning why he went to Huddersfield, instead of slotting straight into Man City's starting XI.
  23. Historical inaccuracies aside, the intended connotation is pretty clear.
