  1. The world cup has come at a good time for the FFA. Expecting a slight rise in interest next season because of it. But not much unless we win it or some shit
  2. The key thing is for everybody who attends matches but is not yet a parent to hurry up and reproduce. That is the only way attendances will actually grow. Sure it may go up or down by bit season to season, but the reality is we have probably reached the limit of rusted on supporters for this club until people who are taught to support the club by their parents start coming along. If there was anyone in Melbourne who could potentially be interested in supporting this club they would already be attending games. That is the harsh reality of it. But we don't need large attendances to stay afloat as we already have a secure financial backing. Just enjoy the short beer lines imo.
  3. Ridiculous question. I think its fairly clear he can do everything at this point.
  4. We'll be doing some sporadic episodes here and there when we have some signings and stuff to talk about so we wont be gone the whole six months!
  5. From left to right: @eric forman, @thisphantomfortress myself and @[LIBBA]
  6. Our season final episode is up. Thank you all for tuning in this season, we love you all and we hope you enjoy this season review! https://player.whooshkaa.com/episode?id=193571
  7. He is originally from Paris, probably just seeing family
  8. GreenSeater's Saturday night, a summary:
  9. It was @Embee and @thisphantomfortress who made the call, so yeah I agree. Soft as butter
  10. Nah we're taking a week off before the big season finale next week. Pretty difficult to sum up our season properly until we know the result on Saturday night and whether we'll be in the Champions League.
  11. Well I was basing it off the players we have as well as two which are highly likely acquisitions, however if I’m posting what I actually want them: Bouzanis Atkinson - Schenkeveld - Gulum - Jamieson (C) Arzani - Brattan - Ninkovic - Ribery Fornaroli - McCormack However I don’t think this is anywhere near as realistic as the one I posted before. Also not sure what you mean when you said no proper wingers in sight when I named Arzani who is the best young winger in the country...
  12. Would be happy with this starting XI: Bouzanis Atkinson - Schenkeveld - Gulum - Jamieson (C) Malik - Brattan Ninkovic Arzani - Fornaroli - Vidosic
  13. Score: Victory 3-0 First scorer: Berisha JM Medal: Troisi Number of beers consumed by GreenSeater before full time: 35
  14. The season is over, when is Simpsons only week?
  15. Pretty sad that your life has come to the point where all you have to do is post on the forums of clubs you don't support. Just remember that there are people out there who love you and are concerned about your wellbeing. Maybe take up a hobby or perhaps even spend some more time reflecting on who you are as a person and what you want out of life (meditation is really good for this, also kills some time seeing as you have plenty on your hands). But if things get really bad maybe seek some professional help. Regardless, people are willing to help you through this period in your life. I hope you're alright friend.
  16. Well the biggest one would have to be the club's greatest ever mens player spending more than half the season on the pine with a broken leg. Then Aston Villa being pricks and deciding to keep McCormack out of spite. James Troisi walking out on signing a marquee deal at the final possible moment leaving us with an absolute garbage marquee. Tim Cahill turning on the club for his "game time" moment. None of these are really our fault tbh
  17. I think it's a pass. But just barely. I kind of feel like we're heading in the right direction, which I haven't felt in a long time. Lot of mitigating factors this season, let's just hope we build on it next year. No excuses with a coach in his second season.
  18. From his instagram post it looks like it was his decision
  19. Let's just face facts. Our attendances won't increase rapidly any time in the foreseeable future. Everyone keeps going on about the "Melbourne sporting public" and how this city is so sports mad, but the reality is, this city is aussie rules and cricket mad. They'll show up for big events in other sports (Aussie Open tennis, F1, the occasional big european club friendly etc), but at the end of the day, there really aren't that many people here who like football enough to show up to the A League week after week. You could put the price at whatever you want, but people wont come. Melbourne sports fans love the footy and the cricket because they are rusted on sports ingrained in Australian and Melburnian culture for over one hundred years. People go to watch the footy team their grandad told them to support, they go to the cricket because Australia loves cricket. The only other sport they love is the spectacle. The big event, hence why the Derby used to always be such a big thing. Football will continue to grow slowly as time progresses, and I think it will get another healthy dose of new fans after the World Cup as usual, but we can't expect it to grow exponentially in a short space of time. The way I see it, we are a financially stable club who don't need to fit a certain number of people in the ground each week to survive, so sit back and enjoy the short beer lines while you can.
  20. No thanks. Would feel 10x more confident against Sydney than Victory. Yes Sydney are Sydney but Victory always lift for derbies. Also I'd rather watch us lose 15-0 vs Sydney than by any margin against Victory in a GF
