Tsubaki also became only the second Asian player, behind Safuwan, to play a senior men’s match for City. 11 years into our club that’s pretty poor for a club that has ambitions in Asia, hopefully this is a sign that we can tap more into the Asian market.

Whilst it is very difficult to attribute social media engagement to tangible business outcomes (i.e. selling memberships, revenue growth etc.), the engagement from Japanese fans in relation to Naoki Tsubaki is really something and highlights the interest that can be garnered by tapping into the Asian market (particularly if that player is a young prospect).

Me *just moved to Preston from South East*: great, I'll be able to cycle to watch the W-League and NPL City: hold my beer Strategically I think it makes sense, I don't think a massive stadium will be built and our games be moved out there - however, I can see us building a 10k boutique stadium for FFA Cup and smaller games that would be shared with local NPL clubs.

Boxing Day test has just had its capacity increased to 30% - assuming it'll remain at approx. 30% that'll allow us just shy of 10,000 spectators into the stadium.

Seems like Delbo is all but gone then, I wonder if City's plan is to wait until the January transfer window to pick someone up. In the interim, the plan must be to use Griffiths with Kerrin Stokes off the bench (is KS a centre half though?/has anyone seen much of him before?)

Has to be Delbridge, right? Even if we could get a better foreigner, I think he has to be the guy this late in preseason as he knows everyone and the system. Additional thought is that I feel like WIndbichler may have taken up a bit of space so could help us meet Delbridge's demands - leverage is certainly with Delbridge $$$ wise you'd have to think.

Looked like a relatively weak Western United, hopefully they have a preseason outing that’s open to the public. Would love to get along and see some live football.

Samantha Johnson has signed for us having announced her retirement last year, seems a good piece of business and the first international signing.

Seems very quiet on the W-League front, particularly in comparison to other clubs, though I’m sure the club have already wrapped up a number of signings for the season and are just holding off. Given we lost so many stars it’ll be interesting to see how and who we recruit.

With just under 2 months until the season starts, thought I'd start a thread to keep track of any preseason matches prior to the season. Understandably there haven't been any matches announced, but hopefully we'll see something in the next couple of weeks out of the club.

Good business by us imo, glad we didn't lose Najjarine to Adelaide as was rumoured and we still have him on our books. Looks like City aren't looking to 'get mutual' and lose a player without a fee.

So good, thankfully his wife is far more active on socials than Nooney otherwise we'd have no idea! I'm quite glad that we've signed him and Florin on - I was over us having foreigners for a year before they head off elsewhere (Steven Gray the exception haha)
