  1. Who sets ticket prices for finals is it the home club or the FFA?
  2. Melbourne City is badly in need of an active group at the North end to get the crowd singing, chanting and supporting the team. It was very disappointing to hear a few Wellington fans make more noise than the whole North end on Monday.
  3. Michael continued where he left off at MH in his return game for Sliema Wanderers against Hungarian side Ferencvaros. He missed a penalty and later on after rounding the keeper he missed an open goal. Is he having a bad run or what!!!
  4. Soccer has become a rich man's sport.
  5. Why drop Garucio after playing such a fantastic game. It's a good way to ruin a kids career. Engalaar has to toughen up. How he could that spud dominate him really annoyed me. Not enough fight today.
  6. I really enjoyed the game and the venture, but am sad to say all the good work done by Heart promoting the game has been stuffed by the &^$# idiot who lit the flares.
  7. Big crowd at the MCG should have been at the football to watch the mighty Melbourne Heart.
  8. A new baby elephant was concieved and born at the Melbourne Zoo.
  9. Will be there. Have to stick with the club through thick and thin. Sure we are going through the worst period on record, but the only way out of this problem is to stick together, work hard and support each other, particularly the players. Boycotting the game will only make belittle the club, something we can very well do without at this point of time.Be there to support the Red & Whites.
  10. While I feel sorry for John Aloisi, I firmly believe he stuffed up badly against Sydney FC. The home team were pathatic in the first half and yet Heart were content to sit back without ferociously going all out and attacking them. You could see our player's mentality throughout the first half was to go backwards a trait that has become all too familiar under John Aloisi coaching. They were there for the taking as proven by our effort in the second half, yet Aloisi allowed his team to sit back, play around for the entire 45 minutes in which time we copped two goals because of poor defending.
  11. If Michael signs MH fans are in for a treat. He will do very well. Can already hear the chant MICHAEL MIFSUD WALKS ON WATER.....
  12. This is going to be another Vince Grella episode.
  13. Same here mate, And FWIW I think if this game occurred it might end up being an over policed non event like when Preston and Bergers meet a few years ago in the Cup. Then again it might be perfect weather and the South fans might come out from under their rocks in Oakleigh, All good, my mistake. The game will probably get a fair bit of hype, but who knows what the attendance will be like. The game will be played in-between the 23rd and 31st of July. Surely the FFV will take into consideration the Victory v Liverpool match on the 24th when scheduling these quarter finals. It's seems rather sus when Preston has played away every single match of the cup so far. This week all the VPL teams left in the cup also host all the non-VPL sides. Makes you think whether the draw is actually random. It might be because the VPL pitches are of a better standard, some of the State League play on some pretty tiny muddy pitches (However I am unaware of how Preston pitch is looking these days.. Possibly, but the draw is meant to be entirely random. During the earlier stages of the cup there would've been games played all over the place. I think it's more likely to do with generating revenue. Yeah you are probably right, Its going to be the same with the FFA Cup when it finally gets going - I doubt any A League teams will play matches not on A League pitches. Why? Are they too good to come down and play at a small club's ground. It happens in England where Manchester United could end up playing at Yeovil or any ohter small club. Are A League bigger than EPL clubs?
  14. These clubs have provided great talent in the past and still do so under difficult circustances these days. If the top brass at the FFV think they can do it better they will fall flat on their faces. They have no idea how to run their offices let alone a club. They tried it with the VCL summer leagues and what have they learned. Absolutley nothing. Yet they continue to forge ahead with something all clubs are wary off and many won't have a bar of it. It's going to be a great league without clubs who have stood the test of time.
  15. Good to see the game kicking on down the south east. I would like the same thing to happen in the north to north east with clubs in areas like Diamond Creek, Hurstbridge, and South Morang Laurimar area. So many young families out there and no football clubs. Shame really. .
  16. I don't blame this guy for talking his way into the team and getting wages. What I am angry about is how the football department is not capable of telling if he can or cannot play football. Just shows you who we got running the team.
  17. At times Heart did well today, but unfortunately once again it was all too brief. Some of the passing and running off the ball is of such a low grade it is not funny. Also the way our players get brushed off the ball tells me most of the players aren't up for the physical stuff. Another issue I have is the friendliness our players were showing to the Mariners. I don't know how many times I saw our players chatting and laughing with the opposition. All well to do this after the game, but not during the heat of battle. Simple not good enough.
  18. Is there anyone out there who can establish a new supporters website. All A league club's website are so regimented and dour they are not worth looking at. Nearly all clubs overseas have a supporters website why can't we.?
  19. Seeing the game is played in summer why can't scarves be made of a lighter fabric intead of the heavy woolen ones that are so hot.
  20. Posted Today, 05:10 PM May I suggest this to welcome Lucash Neil back to Melbourne: MONEY, MONEY, MONEY WHERE THERE'S MONEY THERE'S LUCASH NEIL. Apart fron Neil another little chant for Yarraside to include comes from the pre-match song: I CAN'T SEE ME LOVING NOBODY BUT YOU, MELBOURNE HEART I CAN'T SEE ME LOVING NOBODY BUT YOU, MELBOURNE HEART
  21. Was at the game and have to say WSW fans out noised the Victory lads. Sadly some of the chants are not needed and the flares left a lot of people gasping for air because ther was no wind to blow the smoke away.
  22. Forget this season we have no chance of advancing past the first game if we make the finals. The club has to take stock of the current players because there are far too many players in this team who are not good enough for V.P.L. football let alone A League.
  23. Which VPL club is favourite for the championship this season? I think Bentleigh Greens look a strong possibility. In State League first division my tip is Heidelberg United to make a quick return to the VPL.
