  1. This will go down as a monumental error. This bloke will score 10 plus and have 10 plus assists next season.

  2. Jesus Christ. This post was brought to you by Budweiser. $2.50 USD happy hour will do that.

  3. It’s a joke. If you want me to sit here and explain how the thread is a play on the militant nature of city fans and subtleties involved with making a sarcastic thread like this it ruins it. Make a Le Patron thread if you want a Le Patron thread, this is the Sack Mombaerts thread

  4. I'd be shocked if Birra doesnt get first crack tbh. We're still 4 weeks out so i reckon that everyone is still on the cards at this stage.

  5. Don't get too despondent too soon. I'm sure the general moaning will start once our recruitment is completed and comparisons start with the other clubs.

  6. It's funny, just looked back to when he was announced by us. Riley McGree said: “Warren Joyce got in contact with me […] I could see that this Club is going places, and I want to be here winning more trophies. Getting young players in and creating a good, stable base as a club is an important thing to do, and I’m excited to be part of it.” “I came here for the professionalism of the club, the high-quality facilities and coaching staff and players. Now I want to get a good pre-season under my belt, have a good season and develop myself as a player.” Poor kid.

  7. With Goodwin and Halloran on the wings they've certainly got some x-factor. Now watch them sign a striker like Maycon.

  8. I love that ground although I never went there. This is a shot of the second of the famous "beech hedges."

  10. No one has managed to get the best out of him bar brief flashes. He's consistently inconsistent, one of those guys who had "potential" to be a very good player, but he's coming up on 27 years old and is now just an A-League journeyman.

  13. No sex since 1955 A crusty old Army Sergeant-Major found himself at an evening gala event hosted by a local liberal arts college. There was no shortage of extremely young idealistic and very attractive ladies in attendance, one of whom approached the Sergeant-Major for conversation. "Excuse me, Sergeant-Major, but you seem to be a very serious man. Is something bothering you?" "Negative, ma'am. Just serious by nature." The young lady looked at his awards and decorations and said, "It looks like you have seen a lot of action" "Yes, ma'am, a lot of action." The young lady, tiring of trying to start up a conversation, said, "You know, you should lighten up. Relax and enjoy yourself." The Sergeant-Major just continued to stare at her in his serious manner. Finally the young lady said, "You know, I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but when was the last time you had sex? "1955, ma'am" "Well, there you are. No wonder you're so serious. You really need to chill out! I mean, no sex since 1955!" She took his hand and led him to a private room where she proceeded to "relax" him. Afterwards, panting for breath, she leaned her head against his bare chest and gasped, "Wow, you sure didn't forget much since 1955." The Sergeant-Major glanced at his watch, and said, "I should hope not; it's only 2130 now." (Gotta love military time!)

  14. Anywhere in the middle, think Mooy, obviously a younger version. I think I likened him to Toni Kroos in the match he played against the CCM, very calm on the ball.

  15. Bruno Fornaroli says he’s never experienced a pre-season like he has with new club Perth Glory. The way they are training is unbelievable, like I have never seen before,” Fornaroli What, no skin fold tests?

  16. Big yes from me. Brillante would be a very good signing and a slight upgrade on Brattan. Griffiths to partner him, with Genreau and Metcalfe competing for minutes. Hopefully one of the young kids can even displace Griffiths.

  17. This will always be such a low for this club. When he scores at AAMI (I suspect he will) I will be there to applaud him no matter his colours. I suspect he will be very respectful about it. With the lineup Perth have Bruno should thrive. I hope to see him have another stellar season - he deserves as much.
