  1. Just watched the Truman show- fantastic movie, thoroughly enjoyed it
  2. crazy night at darebin. Storms and lightning with immense rain and wind. All games halted within the first half for 15 minutes due to the weather. Old trinity were beaten (not sure who they were beaten by though) and the game I was involved with was Middle park vs western eagles. Western eagles got the lone goal of the match in the first half and did little afterwoods just defending off attacks from middle park. Difficult conditions so really a 50-50 result
  3. Gotta say I liked Bolton doing the pregame announcements, but could have a had a bit more passion
  4. A fan in red with a "Melburnians" scarf on, interesting. Also interesting that they seem to have retained the idea of fan songs in soundwave form as part of their branding. Harks back to 2012, when a soundwave of Blue Moon was put onto Man City's shirt. I wonder, which one of your songs is represented by that soundwave? Lol its probably still bluemoon
  5. Okay guys, tournament this Saturday 2:00pm-6:00pm Havvarex? Babislak?
  6. all good, will keep you posted for upcoming events. a few of us will also be meeting up next Saturday (14th) for some friendly games if you are interested, Otherwise we will have a couple of events in march
  7. Hey mate, good to hear you are interested! Yes, the tournament on the 21st is still going ahead. It would be great if you could come and play in it, we are always looking for new players and our players range from all skill levels so you don't need to worry about getting hammered. It would also be a great opportunity to chat to some of the guys about going ahead with painting and building a stadium. Personally, I found that without the regular meetups for the game itself, I lost interest in building a stadium and chose rather to focus on the game. But there is room for it either way. I can supply you with a team for the team for the tournament. PM young polak if you are interested. Would be great to see you there.
  8. Hi guys, is the pre game pub still bev and micks on spencer street? if so which is the closest train station? cheers
  9. Was also really classy that he clapped the melbournians after we did his chant
  10. I reckon we will see a fair few socceroos shirts today
  11. http://www.jewishnews.net.au/the-football-refugee/39498
  12. Safu- Safuwan Safu- Safuwan Safu- Safuwan Safuwan bah-rudin (Super dave)
  13. Ah didn't realise about herd and oar In that case- really good use of squad
  14. Oar, herd and antonis have played no minutes at the tournament
  15. this has a lot of similarities to Melbourne Heart- clear backroom issues which mean the team is never going to be competitive
  16. will do harry- please send me your e-mail so we can update you for upcoming events Cheers
  17. haha- if the timing ever works with tournaments, would be good to see you down for one this year harry
  18. Good stuff -you really put in so much work over the past year to make the event come to life
  19. Tiebreakers Penalty shoot-out if only two teams are involved and they are both on the field of play Interesting, I like it and it makes sense. would be highly unlikely but if possible would be better than lots
  20. " Oh on North Korea, don't want to be a kill joy but i think the situation there is far too serious to pretend to support them, even in jest. Kim Jong Un is a nuclear armed evil dictator who is starving his people and is completely and utterly ruthless (just ask his uncle). I see it as pretty much in the same vain as pretending to support Nazi Germany." On a half related note, my dad made the comment as to why North Korea who are so opposed to the modern world (and have such terrible issues in the treatment of their people) are allowed to compete in such tournaments yet South Africa was boycotted for years and could never be apart of world tournaments due to apartheid. The double standards are real.
  21. Not that I know of. The bloke actually laughed- the club have no idea how much the supporters know
