2019 FFA Cup - Quarter Final - Western Sydney Wanderers @ AAMI Park
moops replied to mattyh001's topic in Melbourne City
Mombearts has done really well, it was the best I have seen us in a long time. A dominant win that before the game looked like a tricky match. Jamo had a really good game as well. Wales has just come back from being with the olyroos, I would say that is why he wasn't featured at all. Najjarine had a bit of a nightmare in front of goal, otherwise he did ok, I was surprised he started over Cabrera. I thought Metcalf did well enough, not sure what your grief is? And will only improve over the season. -

WSW just signed Jurman, who has been very good for the Socceroos. -
Our NPL team lost 1-0 and will drop down to the third tier. Our U20's won their second tier. According to the Daily Football Show, our academy will be up and running for next NPL season.

Berenguer shouldn't be any where near the goal, if we play 2 deep players, I would like to see him as one of them, every now and then he can play a smart pass.

Pierias scored again (substitute) and so did Cavallo in Western United's latest friendly.

Probably the worst team we could have drawn, WSW look very good atm, their foreigners look quality as well. -
There was a Dutch club that wanted him on loan, City convinced him to go to Celtic, that's what I recall.
-
That's an attitude that could bring other players down, everyone has worked with a lazy bastard.
-
Pierias started and got a goal.

exactly, but he is here now, he sometimes does some good stuff, it's time he started to get more consistent with his good stuff, I'm looking forward to his good stuff. Did that come out wrong?

Najjar was quite good at holding the ball, looks a strong lad for his age. Florin made a good switch pass I think to Najjarine, but every shot was very tame, made it easy for their keeper.

Who was the LB that took over from Jamo? He looked pretty good as well.

FFA Cup (Rd. of 32) v. Campbelltown City (SA) 31/7/19 (Away)

I actually thought Wales was good when he came on, made Jamie's second goal easier by dragging a CD away. -

Did anyone else notice after Macca's first goal he told Jameison to fuck off, whilst he celebrated with everyone else? Campbelltown actually played some pretty good football at times, credit to them. It's a good win and hurdle to get over, we are still in pre-season mode, overall I thought we did well and Noone looks great. -
"We created some chances, we need to be positive, which is new to the players."

We've all been there, I bet it felt witty at the time π

Anywhere in the middle, think Mooy, obviously a younger version. I think I likened him to Toni Kroos in the match he played against the CCM, very calm on the ball.

Bruno Fornaroli says heβs never experienced a pre-season like he has with new club Perth Glory. The way they are training is unbelievable, like I have never seen before,β Fornaroli What, no skin fold tests?
