He never really settled back to Melbourne City when he returned from PEC Zwolle IMO. either he didnt want to be here or had had enough of the club in the 5 or so years he was with us. Transfer market has him to Macarther Bulls as we all know so maybe a chaange in coaches and location will see him back to his best. I have said it before and ill stick with it. He underperformed as a player for us. Oneill incoming so we will see how that goes.

if wellington lose to AU they cannot catch sydney and Syd FC will be crowned premiers. I am thinking that maybe, if they are premiers in whatever scenario and points matched etc, before playing us on Aug 1, that they might rest some of the big players like lefondra, nonkovic baumjahan etc so that they can have a break before launching them again during the finals. That might work in our favour to retain the all inportant 2nd place.

I am not buying into any negativity. This Covid end to the season is unlike anything any of the teams have had to deal with so there are advatages and disadvantages all round. he might be completely screwed. Wont make his VIC 14 day quarantine then if he is allowed to locate in to NSW at all, will have to serve another 14 Days. that would put him somewhere around close to end of July. So whether he would be brought in that late will depend on injuries i guess. I havent reasd the article cause of the paywall. anybody able to post it? is noone injured?
