What I think is happening is that our forward line is not playing as fluently as it was last season, and Bruno is tending to stay more central than he was last season. Last season he was able to put space between him and defenders, but this season it seems its more of a body wrestle with him. I suspect that being the captain is also having a negative effect on his own play and how referees are reacting to him. I also think the questions over how well Cahill and Bruno could fit into the same team are being answered - IMO it's one or the other but not both. I'm actually quite happy that Berisha has taken the lead on the Golden Boot table, because I think it will take some of the pressure off Bruno. I agree that making Bruno captain has increased the burden on him, he's too emotionally involved this season and I really have concerns about our forward line, for all its talent, we were more effective and much more potent last season where any of Mooy, Bruno or Harry could score with any attack

For me it's the number 10 role. Either Caceres or Cahill have failed so far to play they way Bruno needs. The recent use of Cahill from the bench is an improvement but we're leaving too late. It needs to be just after 65mins or thereabouts. Give Tim a chance to get into the game. We sort out the attacking mid position then we will be unstoppable. Maybe Caceres will get there but I have my doubts. We are in a really really good position coming into Christmas and we tweak a few things and stay fit we will give the title a good shake and all this talk of theatrics is taking away from how awesome we have been. Edited December 11, 2016 by Jovan I know it's an over positive post and it has no place here but this a different City team this season.
playmaker
They haven't got the space that they did last season. Also Colazo hasn't hit his straps yet due to his lack of games and I think the FFA cup was a bit of a distraction from the point of view of having routine and focus on our season proper. I wouldn't worry about our scoring potential as it's there but hasn't quite clicked. I am really looking forward to Colazo delivering to Cahill.
