I tend to change my Electricity/Gas/NBN every 4-6 months depending on rates and deals. Typically you'll find suppliers will offer $100-$300 credits when you join. If you rotate enough, it saves a fair bit each year. I get nervous about changing. Something always seems to go wrong! When we moved house but same provider over two years ago the shemozzle with the internet/email was unbelievable. For two years I received two bills each month, one for one email address with a zero charge with the old street address, and the other for full charge on the new street address. I gave up trying to get the situation fixed. As long as I don't have to pay they can go on sending zero balance bills for ever...
Le Hack
Commonwealth Government says they crying out for soldiers, sailors, and airmen for the ADF. My son applied for a gap year role for the Army in February, he's done all the interviews all the medical tests. Now they're saying there is a hold on gap year recruits and to sit tight until the Government makes a decision on gap year recruits. He then says well can I just join on a normal four year. No you would need to apply again and do all the interviews and tests again. WTF

Defence Department would be one of the worst offenders.

Must the simplest of deliveries go round multiple sorting/processing facilities in Greater Melbourne before it actually gets delivered? Yup. I have to get medical supplies from a provider that is about 20 minutes from my place. It gets picked up, then taken to Tullamarine, then over to the eastern suburbs, then it gets sent to my place. For other services, I live about 150m from a Post Office but they insist in dropping it off at either of the poist offices that are about 1.5km away. Normally I am content for the item to be left at my front door if I am not at home. A few days I had a "delivery that required signature." I was painting an internal wall about 2 feet away from the front door at the time the delivery allegedly failed. There was no knock on the door, no press of the door chime, and no card in my letter box. I had to read on the internet later that day that the item had to be picked up from a Business Centre a few minutes walk away. Of course I had no card...fortunately I was smart enough to take the tracking number with me and i.d. but it took a while to convince them I was the right person. Lord knows where they tried to deliver it in the first place...

The delivery driver is running behind time and they just avoid the place and say non one is home. May they burn in hell.

In my case just around the corner is another street, and a house with the same number as ours - just counting, it's five houses away from ours.. Sometimes items go there instead. It was an important delivery, so my fear was that the card had been put in the wrong box, so I had to race to the Business Centre hoping to get there before my near-neighbour did (who I don't know from Adam - or in our case Sanjay or Ramaputra).
