  1. As far as I'm concerned your on the money again. Most of all though it's the Hernandez story that I'm sweating on, can only hope to see him lining up come season kick off.
  2. Brazil.....he read the transfer fred and taken a punt on someone I wondered about. Clearly signaled his intentions above. For wet dreams here's a highlight DVD below The old man will dominate! Then I woke and realised the family holidays were in Morwell not Brazil
  3. Love to say the board wouldn't be so stupid to have a knee jerk reaction to Postecoglou's Victorian presence, but I just can't bring myself to atm..... Would be somewhat shocked with appointing John on the face of it but on further thought it's not so shocking really, Was always going to be internal before it was announced JVS was leaving so naturally you think it's the current assistant but this has been drawn out to long if that's the case. Possibly Ante hasn't been in favor seeings we offered JVS a third year. Obviously the failed crack at Ange has delayed the naming but for this long? Weighing things up applicant A has played a bit part for Australia, coached in Sydney for a season and run the errands and held the whiteboard at U'20 world cups and for JVS since 2009. Applicant B has been an Australian squad mainstay thus ensuring a profile, knocked around Heart with close to as much opportunity to pick JVS's brain as app A and played at a much higher level with a greater exposure to high class coaches, backroom staff and contacts. Guess it comes down to how they weight profile, exposure level and coaching experience. All I know is weighing things up personally I have Aloisi in front. Perhaps what would appear to be a stupid knee jerk reaction is not so. Whoever is chosen I just hope the board can kick a goal for once. it would be greater than life itself!
  4. For real? Himself and Hamill are the two assets that are head and shoulders above the rest at the club(barring Eli if he has a 15+ goal season). Not enough love shown for both imo. Stated 4-6 weeks ago about their European destiny in another thread and sure enough one looks to be gone all ready. For what it's worth, I would feel we've shafted ourselves accepting anything less than 450k AUD plus another bonus 250k tied until say 15-20 senior appearances. That negates the percentage sell on risk, explains itself really.
  5. Chuckled at the word 'years' being used to soften the truth, centuries to a Millennium away would have sufficed. Australia's population would have to more than double to ever support such an idea.
  6. I feel ya pain but didn't need a reminder of another johnnie jovi song just before the cab picks me up, thanks buddy. Tonight better succeed or the first bars of either in minds eye in the morning, will have me moving fast to the toilet.
  7. Bon Jovi .....while imo it's terrible music. Facts are while im a slut no doubt, he has had more woman and QUALITY woman than this whole forum. Don't know how music can be male and doing another male much like yourself. Marto do tell lol AND THAT'S http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIcaDqD5s2I&feature=related R.I.P JC. I realise it's unrelated but for myself and any others with bloody living on a prayer in their head, erase it now
  8. Spot on mate, I'm one of the 1st to put the current situation in the forefront of my mind when posting. Christ, if we were signing every player suggested in here the club would be shot to pieces completely. As you say, it can be quite frustrating epecially considering we should/could be sorted manager wise, well by now. Plenty of time still, visas still to be filled and Europe still in action for a while so no rush for key position choices yet. Say Good leaves though that could create a problem or two.
  9. Apologies, ignore that momentary brain fade. We're all over that futsal shit
  10. It's a good and more than reasonable question tesla. It's been near on 5 months now since we knew about the situation. Money's always dictated that it was one of the two, more likely Ante for obvious reasons. There's the illusion of looking thorough but it's gone too long for that. I'm tipping the situation the clubs in has hit home. A no name coach added with some more no name imports creates a case of 'where's the new fans going to come from'? News was out Ange wanted home, we've chased some cash with panos and whoever else, come a cropper and the rest is history. Unfortunately missing what would have been a massive coup and more exposure than we have ever had.
  11. IMO it' just another snide dig at the opposition. The head TWIT loves his twitter and should really shut the fuck up and close the account. Warren Buffet he ain't. The club treats us like retards. Like we could be in a bidding war? Scott, we have a tenth of fuck all due to a certain manager chosen upon our inception mate. Everyone want's to pay under the imaginable value mark so of course they paid more than they wanted, everyone does everyday. 500k ange vs 500-750 JVS, I shall never ask for yourself to form a market. No idea. Edit. On the being treated like retards. More evidence over on the JVS to Mexico thread. The family story bla bla bla, sorta can't believe people believed that line but who am I to judge. Like I said in here before, our offer wasn't sufficient. His a career coach ffs.
  12. If it look's like a duck, swims like a duck........ That's an adios imo or a very sick joke played by Mr.Munn. Seems my 'trolling' isn't all that unsubstantiated and this is an extremely positive move imo. Shake up well over due, the same will breed well , much of the same.
  13. Cause I'll have probably done 300-400kms criss crossing across work sites and be flat on my arse by 8pm. I have to make money sorry mate, much like how the club employees people to attempt to do the same. Outgoings on a wage must equate to a certain worth that employee creates each week. If they need to come to us for ideas and suggestions then it's high time they looked internally imo. I don't know who you are either and honestly never given any thought to who's who in here, that's least of my fkn concerns. To ease your concern though, I'm up well up the back away from the pre-pubesents and security, just enjoying or at least attempting to in my own special way..sniff, sniff, drink. drink, only way to go. Come say G'day some time, I'll introduce myself, I'll pick the wanker walking up the stairs
  14. I doubt I'll be able to make it to the forum but would love to bring up a few issues. Im pretty sure someone would bring them up anyway but if not feel free to take my issues and run with 'em. -Recruitment No doubt there's been a few hits with the younger Aussie boys, but it's seriously negated with the choices made on the middle age to mature group and imports. I don't know who is responsible for the selections or if we even have a recruitment manager and team, but is something the club should consider of absolute vital importance. Love to think one person is solely responsible for picking the young crop as it's as simple as showing the door to the others. I'd like to see a much more concerted effort by the club in regards to recruitment and scouting. Funnel money from less important elements into it if need be. Imports play such a large part in success, unfortunately when the available aussie talent that's within budget has to be spread across so many teams, there will never be an all conquering no import team, well not for a long long time anyway. The minute they're not close to first down on the team sheet is the minute success basically vanishes for the season Capitalise on the European economy and create some links with these clubs. The common model currently is for clubs to take free agents from overseas which is hit and miss and not to mention risky business contract wise. Let's look at loans imo, much greater chance of scoring a gun and far better value going down that path. All for what could be a small fee or a percentage of wages etc and the beauty is if they don't settle or even worse and they perform like a worm mk2, it's goodbye March, not March next season.
  15. He'd be negligent in his role not to keep tabs on the general fans view of how the club is perceived. I think he want's to log in here and read something positive for once, hence the forum being called!
  16. - Club Culture The club can talk it up all they like but a blind man can see it's all a con. Player favoritism for one but the icing on the cake was Simon and his hissy fit kicking the ball away. The culture at a club is the behaviour that is accepted or not, and if you have people clear about that culture, you can then empower people to take charge of the culture. But if they don't know what the accepted standards are, then they can't do anything – they just wonder why people are late for training, or why we accept that a senior player is not sanctioned for his petulant act. It's that link between accepted behaviour and leadership capacity, and then, obviously, the greater increase in leadership capacity the greater increase in performance. So it's also about winning games!
  17. I second the above. All I know is some rumor about a local consortium buying Victory out or buying in. With that earlier rumor of Panos gagging to have the Greek back in Melbourne and paying for it, along with the continual momentum of this supposed signing it's all I can put together. Why that's excellent I can't figure out, so I could be way off. The sky might fall in also but it doesn't stop anyone from stepping outside, your grasping at straws looking for a negative there mate
  18. Other side?? Meh, too easy. The flog forgot to mention it's going Dubai style and will be built on the water with see thru grass as the pitch. The other tender is proposing something much more exciting. Imagine a blow up jumping castle but of stadium like proportions that can obviously be inflated as needed so not to ruin the dragon boat racing for moomba.
  19. Closest link I can find is that perhaps the Herald Sun is the official A-League newspaper? If it's in the paper it just has to be true Cadet......Would I be wrong in saying Hoffman started out life as a defender? Could have him mixed up but he sure as hell ain't a goalscorer.
  20. Two of my fav comedians or were comedians before there passing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFW6NHbWX0E http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7D0BeLz5blM&feature=related
  21. Was only a matter of time before Tinkler had a tantrum and left behind another mess. Anyone who knows anything about the racing industry will know how he operates. Was never the right person to have the license but as there akin to selling a cancer, well beggers can't be choosers. The brat then gets the spotlight off the finals and on the day of the a-league awards. Why the license was $5million is anyone's guess but something is only theoretically worth what the market will pay and he paid the asking sum. Good riddance his gone to be honest. As for the league, well god only knows what happens next.
  22. The last two pages of suggestions are complete insanity. Thwaite perhaps but that is all. The rest are injury prone battlers or imports that offer absolutely nothing in the scheme of things. I suggest Adam Spaleta. For mine, a worthwhile punt.
  23. Half full or half empty it's all just an individuals perception. I'm actually excited and enthused about the future with the possibilities that have now opened up. Poor crowds, millions lost, impending rent increases and other factors don't bode well for anyone's sustainability though, no matter how rosey your glasses are. Critical time to secure it's future, its a defining moment in time for the club and basically get it right and were off and running. Bad decision after bad decision only ends one way in a competition that has lost 3 clubs in 7 years though, that's not perception but cold hard facts. Happy easter JW, ya missed one behind the couch mate
  24. Forgot to add potentially the FFA propping us up out of embarrassment. Then another club is in the complete shit and bailing the two out along with losses to the privately propped up clubs sick of it then its nigh nighs for the league.
