I generally try to stay away from player bashing but as a good mate will attest anything Colosimo related tends to make my blood boil. Looked to have the world at his feet until that Andy Cole tackle but forever since then he appears to be a very bitter person. Could be a top bloke and probably is to those that closely know him but imo it would be a god send for the club if he is to move on.

In that case then with myself needing a result today in AFL to have Perth running in the last leg of a 19-1 multi, i'll be having a little saver on the draw and heart. Touch wood! I can't and never will buy in to this 'leaving then let them rot' approach. It's life and these things happen from sporting clubs to the boardrooms of corporations and small business the world over. Winning to me is what matters not bloody childish games filled with negativity. I could be barking up the wrong tree of course but I'm pretty confident there's been recent games where he should have been used. I wouldn't worry about the experience he will gain as a few games hardly makes the player. Next season is a loooooong way off so why waste your time worrying about tomorrow when its a guaranteed fact there will come a time when there is no tomorrow. I'm just really disappointed the club has taken that line of thinking as I would have hoped the ethos would be above that. Sorry, end of rant!

Back on topic though, Perth have beat us 3 times this year? Can't see the trend changing but hopefully we have a 'september' specialist or two, pardon the AFL analogy. Whole team needs to play out of their skins Sunday.

Hmm,I brought this issue up in the Goodwin thread that to my surprise went largely unnoticed bar one. Called it juvenile but in all honesty its well beyond that. Best available team should be assembled in the pursuit of success at ALL times baring discipline reasons. My belief is he fits in that squad so its puzzling his lack of appearences the past 6 or so week. Cant find a reason other than his moving on and to exclude him which is a a gross injustice on the team and more importantly paying fans. I hope im wrong but if not I hope for major changes at head office during the off as its fkn disgusting, spiteful and peoples egos are more important than winning it seems.

Your not the only one who is puzzled 11v. Thought he may have got a run tonight or last week (in fact when did he last play?) off the bench to give Behich a breather before finals after his hectic season. His game performance was on par and acceptable. Something must have gone on behind the scenes, disciplinary perhaps or a falling out somewhere along the lines....pure speculation but what else is one to think. Just hope they're not juvenile morons and not playing him in the knowledge that his leaving as our offer is miles apart.

Telstra, Optus or Vodaphone not working again? Adelaide have looked pretty good the past few weeks. Think they will do us over tonight with the determination not to finish last, had a mid week game which should help us out but I do recall Sergio having a start on the bench with another bloke that's decent who's name escapes me. Possibly negating that advantage. Be great to get a run into the finals with a bit of of form over 90 minutes. I'd take him in a heart beat Kiro. At the moment I think his actually looking the fittest I've ever seen him, his a class or three above anyone else we have in the squad and his settled in Melbourne. The 3+1 rule ruins the possibility though imo as for all his benefits his not the potential crowd puller that the club is really going to have to gamble on next season. It's a pity as he is a gun and proven performer and of course the chosen one we go with could always be the next Ricardinho, that's the punt the club have to take though.

Crap system that's only used to maximize revenue but then same goes for the final 8 system in AFL and the 444 post season games used in mlb and nba. Should be 1 v 2 with the loser playing the winner of 3 v 4 in a semi final. Top 6 is a reward for mediocrity in a competition made up of numbers that a 2 year old can count to.

Clearly the product needs to be vastly improved to generate interest. Why the club has no marquee is beyond me as thru signing someone like Kewell generates media coverage that money can't buy for our type of budget. Actually play and demonstrate the philosophy rather than talk about it. Im at a loss with the affiliation/association with Morwell(can someone please explain to the naive me in what it's all about?) it's 150kms from where we play and the same from where we train. The community game should be played to the west of the c.b.d where the major growth area is. Hoppers Crossing/ Werribee would have been an ideal location with point cook only minutes away and the altona area. Even further down the hwy to Geelong and the surfcoast. Latrobe population 70k with Geelong and the surfocast 260k. I would open the gates to all once a year for a gold coin donation in early January to coincide with summer holidays, obviously a charity is chosen to coincide with the day. Builds goodwill and once again generates free publicity. Have the place swarming with volunteers making sure everyone but mainly familys walk out with a heart showbag containing member info, some sort of kids activity book, couple of balloons, poster and a ticket to win a signed guernsy after they send it back in with their details for future marketing purposes. Perhaps even a training pass for 5-12 year olds that can register and a few players get out around the place over summer holding these sessions. For a club promoting youth lets show the mums and dads that we are keeping tabs on these kids as this is the club in australia that little johnny could really go somewhere in the world with. I would include two free ticket to all members in their package to drag along the uninitiated. No more advertising half price tickets or certain days for members to bring someone, can be used anytime bar the derby. Reduce the price of family member packages as an outing is a rarity for a lot of people struggling to make ends meet. Someone mentioned scarves before and I would also push for them to be included in memberships or maybe at an extra cost that covers their manufacture only, include the number of continual years of member support on them. People are funny and while they maybe incognito for the coming season for whatever reason/s no one wants to start back at #1 the following season.
