Ah, a classic microeconomic conundrum. Cycling/bike paths are a non-rivalrous (one persons consumption of the bike path doesn't affect the level of consumption by someone else) and non-excludable (people can still easily cycle on the paths without paying) service which causes a market failure with an undersupply of resources to these paths, given there is no financial incentive for private firms to build a bike path. On the other hand the government can exclude drivers from using the roads without paying a registration fee due to the greater size of vehicles and more limited terrain that can be presided over by the police which means the government does not need to pay entirely for the roads with the consumers financially contributing. So in summation- until we end up with a nanny state where the government can track everyones movement everywhere on a bike- cyclists aint paying no rego anytime soon, and if that does happen, I'd hate to think of the Orwellian society we would be living in by that point.

Yep pretty much this. The most scarring moment of my whole life came at the hand of some 'heroes' from the north terrace who thought it would be perfectly acceptable to threaten a 13 year old kid with violence to gain possession of his scarf. I'm not much of a city fan these days. But never, in a million years could I support victory, simply because of the north terrace.

I can remember that day where everyone was absolutely stoked that we had drawn the game. But I was gutted that we had given up a 3-2 lead with 5 mins to play. Just goes to show the mediocrity which was enshrined into the club I think the one that hurt a lot at the time for me was 2011-12 round 26 approx. We needed to beat sydney FC at home to get a home final and we blew a lead twice to draw 2-2. But I think on the flipside, my favourite ever game was 2-1 round 1 season 2012-13. Total underdogs and aloisi's first game beat Ange in his first game with victory. I felt on top of the word that night and I have not felt that happy at a football match since.

I hold firm on my thoughts. The longer this league remains at only 10 teams, with only one team in certain major cities, the less likely it will be to add additional teams inn the same city at a later stage.

Strider Presents - Victory derby v1
True Until I die replied to Hughesie27's topic in Melbourne City
Highlight for me is always the standard Victory family who purchase seats in the away supporter area (typifying the mong stereotype) and refuse to move from their reserved seats. Good laughs always follow. But in all serious- how can people be so stupid as to do this- drives me up the wall. Same as people who purchase active support for socceroos but yell at others who stand up- you are the scum of the earth! -
what about everywhere 'we' go instead of 'you' go

Yes @hazzaverx it is all yours and solely your fault

My thoughts from last night 1. Kossie worked out everything that was wrong with jvs' game plan and squad within 20 mins- and basically proceeded to predict how the game would pan out from there. 2. Both pens were very lucky- basically we scored from them going full retard 3. Chapman may well have been lucky not to see red and I couldn't beelive there was no card for the foul for city's second pen 4. a win is a win- now into the QF's- cant complain. NEXT

yes absolutely- a tough job and not one which I can imagine pays anywhere near enough to attract the talented person needed.

haha of course- I meant in relation to an organised event day

IMO the best promotional event the club ever did was their FIFA competition day at Federation Square- Had the whole merchandise for following season available and full squad came out.
