I heard that Galloway has played LB before and is comfortable doing it, I even think it was an Adelaide United supporter who wanted him to play there. Whether that is true or not.
Regardless, Atkinson and Galloway should be FB choices and not Delbridge.
This club really need to get back to basics and stop with all the trickster stuff to catch out the opposition.
Basic tactics, basic strategy, basic set plays, basic defense, midfield and attack. And d then when all this is mastered then move on to more complex ideas.
And for goodness sake, don't you think it's time to do something to counteract the opposition tactics to isolate Jamie, can someone at the club do something please. Maybe even to teach the players to pass the ball through the centre and to his feet so be can try to create real opportunities rather than just bombing it high and wide.
Do something please.

The game was a debacle.
What is Mombaets doing?
The team is all over the place.
Team tactics and strategies are straight out of the U12s playbook.
Basically we hold the ball in defense, the midfielder run up to the opposition defensive line and we hoof the ball out of defense.
No transition through the midfield and when we do pass mid pitch it goes wide and gets blocked, players don't know where to position themselves and we pass to the opposition, and no player runs onto the ball.
Then Susaeta gets played out of position as a CM, Najjarine starts in Susaeta's natural position(swap with Noone) where Najjarine has been by far out worst wide player, while Metcalfe and Genreau who do play in the middle sit on the bench. So basically Susaeta skillset get nullified and we play a rubbish winger.
Then we have a debacle of a defense where we are playing a hybrid RB who doesn't know where he is meant to be and play our natural RB on the left when we have Atkinson on the bench.
This manager is an absolute joke, the players don't know where they need to go or what to do, and we have one of the best strikers in the league as a bystander watching this comedy show unfolding before his eyes.
I was actually embarrassed watching this whole incompetent performance.
I don't mind losing in a high quality game where both teams battle and play good football but gee the standard of our play is atrocious on every level.
What a circus.

And that folks, is how you get climate deniers.
Dont tell me you are one of the hypobolic non-scientific scientists that listen to your media authority.
I suppose the 200+ people charged with lighting fires in forests that haven't been managed for 20 years is NOT the cause of the fires but rather the nonexistent increase in CO2, non existent sea level rise and non existent polar ice cap melting.
You need to do some real scientific research buddy because you are being lied to big time and where the actual real data debunks the whole thing.
Maybe start here if you want to listen to some real science.
Or

And there is your problem as it's not a science but rather basic common sense.

The match day experience over the last 2 seasons is due to the failings and destruction of Joyce and Munn.
Last week was the first match where I consistantly heard some real optimism from the supporters around me for a very long time.
Maybe, just maybe we are on the up and supporters are starting to sense it which is changing the feel of the matchday experience.
Also, the sense of anticipation of Susaeta coming on was electric, which is exactly what a world class player does.
If this continues there is no doubt that the whole stadium will follow the lead of the actives as was the case in the Mooy Novillo Bruno era.

The handball in the box was a yellow card that wasn't given.
Another referee error if you want to split hairs.
Either way the VAR decision was correct and the referee's penalty call was correct.
But yes I agree with @NewConvert, if it was Delbridge he would have been sent off.

What a great game. I liked the defensive resilience, the attacking flexibility and the way Mombaets was so animated.
Most players ran their guts out and there were no spectators on the pitch.
2-0 win in an old fashion arm wrestle and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Please don't get me started @jw1739 or the brainwashed hyperbolic masses will pollute this thread again.
Match day is here and I just want to enjoy the FOOTBALL.
Come on city.
Let's destroy these chumps.

More popular than what you think.

How wonderful it is to be in Australia where we have the freedom to express our views.
I love this country.

Degrading people seams to be your forte.

Social engineering and brainwashing of the masses is working well I see.
Oh well.
Nothing wrong with thinking that a men's league should be exclusive to men and a woman's league should be exclusive to women.
I have never understood why there are so many men involved with the W-league tbh, as women are more than capable of running their own league at all levels.

He's shown everyone what he is.
And what is that?

Female refs have no place in the men's competition, they have their own competition to work in and its called the W-league.
Men refs should be in the men's competition and woman refs in the women's competition.

New signing could possibly change our standings forcast.

..as have Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, CCM.
But if you want to be like victory, be my guest...
I just want an identity that we can be proud of.
Unfortunately we are coming out of the most mismanaged, demoralizing and incompetent time of out existence both on and off the pitch.
CFG has taken our passion away and corporatised the club and tried to cut the club from its roots.
This cuts deep for a lot of members hence why we have no membership growth and have a steady decline with disenchanted members not giving over the cash.
Interesting times.

Metcalfe is a natural fullback.
He played there as a youth player.

Sure and then we just do nothing for 70min
What?
He missed 4 chances in the first half and Luna didn't even want to pass to him anymore.
Wales is crap end of story.
9 minutes ago, Mr MO said:Still much love Berenguer I see.
Florin is JUST good enough to hold his position on the pitch, but in no way should he be there in the place of a proper marquee CM. Am I happy that he is on our list? No, but he needs to be on the pitch atm because he offers more that any other players on our list in that position.
If I had my way I would get rid of both players in this transfer window.
