  1. I agree thats probably our best lineup, just dont think thats what we'll do tomorrow.
  2. Dunno, potentially we change it up again to a 3-5-2 or a more regular 4-3-3 when he's ready. Will be very interesting. I think we'll see our formation mix and match from week to week this season tbh
  3. Probably not a bad idea to get on the membership portal and check your email details then. Might be a reason why you havent seen the tracker email either. FWIW i got my tracker email yesterday and it estimates Tuesday as the receive date...
  4. Welfare day is Thursday @Embee, you've missed the boat for handouts. Forgive my ignorance, but why does it matter as long as its before the first home game?
  5. All the noises that have been made imo point towards a line up of: Sorensen Chapman Jakobsen Rose Brattan Malik Kilkenny Kamau Brandan Colazo Fornaroli SUBS : Bouzanis Caceres Fitzgerald Retre Muscat Probably could be a swap between Caceres and Brandan but i suspect the Argentine will be favoured after his FFA Cup performance. The article that was on Fox this morning re Chapman at RB leads me to think he'll start over Muscat and Malik's role obviously dropping into a back four when the opposition have the ball as per the FFA Cup game.
  6. An email was sent out last week saying they'll arrive in the first two weeks of October. For now relax, then worry about if theyre not here by the week of the first home game.
  7. Yeh 4 points from the trips to uae and Saudi is a great result. The results of the Japan games will be largely irrelevant as long as we can win the rest of the games, which it's expected from this point in.
  8. Am i the only one that doesn't see it with Robbie Kruse? Edit: obviously not haha. He has zero composure.
  9. Dunno about trash, but yeh not as dominant as usual. Rogic clearly the best man on the pitch in the first half.
  10. Class goal, didn't think the Saudis had that in then tbh
  11. Meh, does it really matter at the end of the day as long as the club knows it own numbers? The dick measuring contest that the AFL in particular seem to have re numbers is a load of crap really. The club obv needs to have it own goals for a profitability point of view but i just dont think the exact number matters that much.
  12. Wellington Phoenix squad: 1.Glen MOSS (gk), 2.Jacob TRATT, 4.Roly BONEVACIA, 5.Ryan LOWRY, 6.Dylan FOX, 7.Gui FINKLER, 8.Alex RODRIGUEZ, 11.Hamish WATSON, 12.Adam PARKHOUSE, 13.Marco ROSSI, 14.Alex RUFER, 17.Vince LIA (c), 20.Lewis ITALIANO (gk), 21.Roy KRISHNA, 24.Logan ROGERSON, 26.Jack-Henry SINCLAIR Ins: Nil Outs: Nil Unavailable: 9.Kosta BARBAROUSES (international duty – 1 week), 10.Michael McGLINCHEY (international duty – 1 week), 16.Louis FENTON (international duty – 1 week), 22.Andrew DURANTE (international duty – 1 week), 23.Matthew RIDENTON (knee – 2-3 weeks) - Krishna is in. Given that I imagine they look like Moss Tratt Fox Rossi Parkhouse Bonevacia Rodriguez Lia Finkler Watson Krishna
  13. Well, I was definitely wrong then!
  14. Reasonably confident that they announced last season as the last due to all clubs finding NPL homes.
  15. City Membership day on SEN. Plenty of interviews during the day for those interested. Count now hurtling towards 10k, chance to break it prior to Round 1...
  16. Haha get it done @thisphantomfortress
  17. The good folks over at the Yellow Fever forum seem to think he's playing so unless there's evidence to the contrary im assuming he's playing.

    Aaron Mooy

do you understand the meaning of the word literally?

Probably this. Id also perhaps say that the talent pool is a bit further diluted too with 20 teams as opposed to 10 although they are allowed more international slots (its some wierd system with 160 slots over the 20 teams that are tradable). Obviously the dilution is offset somewhat by the sheer volume of population too but overall i dont think the quality is any better. Probably worth noting that some of those marquees are the older superstars ie Pirlo, Gerrard whose best is well and truly behind them but are marquees in the true sense of the marketing term.

Nah no way. I've been watching a fair bit of the MLS this off-season and it's certainly no better than the A-League imo. Perhaps a bit more technical, but it's much slower and far less physical than the A-League
  21. Not sure there was much hate, but he certainly was underwhelming last season. Fingers crossed he has a much better season because he's clearly best XI if he can get himself back to his Roar form.

    TV Series

Yeh The Blackwater episode, Red Wedding and imo the last episode of Season 6 are probably my favourites. Also the Hardhome ep was a ripper, dont think anyone saw that coming as quickly as it did.
  23. Boyd was comfortably the best Dogs player yesterday. Johannisen had plenty of it but torched it by foot. Kennedy was a standout for three quarters but probably went out of the game in the last quarter.
