  3. So Muskat, the guy who had a tantrum and broke a young players leg because they threw their lead away (with one of the goals coming from him pushing the wall over) wants a more friendly environment at the soccer does he? What a hypocritical fuck wit.

  10. 1) So you can see website ads, but you didn't know kewell was signed? I'm assuming you think Orlando Engelaar is just a random name generated to cause excitement amongst fans? 2) I could be wrong but aren't they planning to do that this year? 3) The majority of members at least read the paper, or see billboards across town, or attending other sporting events... or just don't live under a rock. Maybe you should ask the club to send you telegram updates?

  15. 5613 @ 9:45pm! We need 87 members in the next 4 days to make that 20% increase the day before our first game! That's 22 per day which is very achievable the way we've been going the past few days. At the moment we're sitting on 18.17% increase! That's pretty damn good!

  16. Was subject to a piece on 7 afternoon news. Footage of Muscat being all serious and pretending to coach a training sesh, cuts to footage of bolton's howler against CCM

  17. Good read !!! Kevin Muscat: the man who rearranged Christophe Dugarry's knee ligaments in a friendly; who ended Matty Holmes's career; who gave Adrian Zahra this friendly tap-up in the Melbourne derby is now being used to plead with confused fans to respect the family friendly nature of the A-League. Yep - Looks like Muscunt really cares about the AntI Hool Patrol by the looks of this pic on the North terrace FB Page.

  22. We should go to somewhere like the Great Western on the corner of King street + Little Bourke street. Good for the under 18`s. How about making a stand this season instead of hiding out in North Melbourne.

  25. Uhhh...good luck with that...and here I thought I was optimistic! lol I think you're time frame is a little ambitious. I'll be happy if we hit 6000 after our first home game to be honest. I say "after" our first home game because I'm guessing there'll be a few signing up on the day of the match Haha I am just going off this last week which has been pretty big, plus going off the fact a large people will sign up on the Saturday at the actual derby, then IF we win a large number of people will hopefully sign up on the Sunday, plus taking some time for processing can maybe see the figure sneaking up to 6000 around Monday arvo, would still be happy with 6000 by the CCM game but. Not always an optimist but as I was on 442 saying that we could struggle to make 5600 by the central coast game so was happy to be proven wrong! Am loving the counter but, reckon it has definitely enticed more fans, I think people have felt they want to chip away and increase that number slowly but surely!

  26. Got tricked thinking GolGol was between the uprights and Redders was leading the line with Kiznorbo/Wielart in support and Aziz-zou and Walker whipping them in. Hey, your squad works front2back or back2front - should tweet to JA

  33. Giving away free tickets devalues membership to potential members and frustrates current members who have paid full price. Less people are likely to sign up if they can get free tickets.

  34. Sick of seeing 16 and 18 with seated families. How can the club get better at communicating what the bays are for? Surely continuous reminders on FB, twitter, email newsletter and game-day signage/on the screens etc would do the job

  35. The number of empty seats is embarrasing so why not every game (besides derby)? Or does it cost the club to give away tickets? Why would I buy a membership if I can just use my mates freebies to attend every single game?

  37. As a concerned mother I applaud these changes. We must always remember to think of the children, after all there needs are more important than ours. Next we will try and get beer banned from games and replaced with ginger beer also, we will make sure that swearing at soccer matches will carry punishment of jailtime think of the children

  38. We should offer Hoffmann to Victory on a free transfer. Shit! All transfers of players between A League clubs are still free. There goes that idea. Anyway, how many folks here think Ange Postecoglou will take Hoffmann? Am I alone in thinking that Ange Postecoglou is not interested in the slightest in our Hoffmann, and if we play Hoffmann in the Derby will aim to exploit that "strength" of ours?

  41. Some advice for club administration to help increase membership: 1) I was a member last season and have not received anything about new memberships, by email or post. The first I heard about this were those Melbourne Heart website ads that are everywhere these days. Hopefully these ads attract new members, but also need to maintain the existing membership. 2) There are many empty seats at the regular games so would be great to give members free tickets for friends. I invited a friend to that new years match last season and they loved the supporter atmosphere. 3) I would guess that the majority of members (like myself) are not actively reading these forums so should email the membership about exciting developments, like signing Kewel. I just discovered that this morning.

  43. Didn't Gol Gol score starting against WSW while the rest of our team crumbled, as well as hitting the bar on a FK last Etihad derby, as well the FK against Wellington, just don't think we can look past Gol Gol for scoring Exactly His presence also made the side last year (And JA said this himself) about three times more dangerous from Corners as well as Freekicks. Golgol is cleary faster and a better shot than Williams - His the logical choice for CF come saturday night with Misfud being absent.

  44. Hi folks, haven't been on the forum in a while so sorry if there is a thread dedicated to this topic already. Searched around for a bit and couldn't find one, so thought I'd just leave this here. I sent this email to the club in response to their request for feedback on the club songs for this season. I presume there are some similar opinions from people on here?

  45. Last season I was in bay 18 with couple if mates. We stood and sang white the rest of the ppl in there just sat like dead flogs Active bay? Not at all! Middle bay was full so there was no option. But if the middle bay was extended up .....

  46. I think a slow song sang well would have twice the effect of a quicker song. Obviously you can't compare it directly with liverpools YNWA, but the tones are very similar. Rather than some techno song,a slow song with some deeper meaning in the lyrics i reckon would be more effective I like the part where you completely disregarded my post because it didn't support your opinion and the simply posted your opinion again in different words.
