  1. C+. OOH you say- Aloisi is better than we think because he has recruited Weilaart, Kewell, Murdocca and Engelaar. OK Check. But then you say we lack team cohesion because Germano, Kalmar haven't stepped up. But isn't that at least partially because they been given opportunities to step up? Why hasn't Kalmar been given more time in the midfiled? Why hasn't Germano-even at RB. I don't rate Walker as much as some do here (In fact he is the weakest link and I expect him to have a torrid time every game as his side will be targetted). Isn't that all Aloisi's responsibility. Cohesion comes from players playing together but also having an understanding of their roles in the overall game plan that manager is implementing. And therein lies the problem: If Aloisi has a game plan, can somebody tell me because for the life of me I haven't worked it out yet! Did you see Walker v Del Piero in Melbourne last season? Calling Walker the weakest link in the squad is an ignorant comment. Particularly given the fact that we have not seen the need to sign another RB this offseason.

  3. Hey mate. Good to see you are still around. Apologies if this makes no sense. I am pretty drunk right now lol. Harry I would say has had a mixed reaction. When the season starts proper we will see how effective signing harry has been.

  10. I was there too. only saw the first half and thought there would be no chance of you guys coming back. I play for yarra in the firsts so at least we beat you 3-2, tough game though.

  12. I don't reckon they will. Had a couple of retirees this season, Glass with 1 season left with Cox and Kerr probably not too far off themselves. If Natanui can start playing a bit more consistently rather than being a flash in a pan and Darling starts winning his own ball instead of playing for free kicks then they'll go further, but currently I don't see things getting better for them anytime soon. All teams have injuries...Sydney and Freo have been missing key players all season and still finished in the top 4 so they can't use that excuse either.

  13. The only issue here is the lack of likes for my comment, disappointing. Plenty of planned away trips Marty, cant make em all.

  14. Do we have a tough enough pre-season schedule? Other clubs have up to 12 matches against State league opposition. However, this may not be Heart's fault. From where I sit many of the senior Victorian clubs seem to have giant chips on their shoulders - see, for example, their opposition to the National Premier League concept. From what I've read the other States are getting behind this concept and it will be starting next season. So maybe there's a reluctance to have anything to do with the Melbourne A-League clubs? I think we're doing our best, and credit is due to Heart, WSW and now Brisbane for being prepared to play in Lismore, which probably does absolutely zero for membership numbers.

  15. Perhaps not porn, but interesting. This is Wanderers Oval, the home of Broadmeadow Magic, a local side (supported by the Macedonian community) in Newcastle N.S.W. Not a bad little ground with lots of potential for development. Food for thought for A-League clubs?

  18. Not so much headlines, just in the public, sitting at the footy tonight watching the big screen at half time and up came a triple m ad of 30 or 60 seconds of melbourne, in that it mentioned the demons, storm and victory. Just a small thing but doesn't feel right that we're being left out

  22. Calm down people! Its just a forum thread for us to talk shit about who we would like as a marquee. Rumours are rumours because no one has confirmed them, thats kinda the point. This thread was spot on with Engelaar and probably broke that story (i didnt see it anywhere else before here thats for sure) which is pretty great considering HE IS OUR ACTUAL MARQUEE! If hearing rumours that dont come true pisses you off than maybe you shouldn't be reading forum pages, just stick to the mass media and find out when everyone else does.
