Tesla
Mitt Romney has already been selected to be the next puppet US president. A Mormon former investment banker even getting this far in the US presidential race. 100% legit democratic system. If Mitt Romney isn't installed as the next US president, I'll never post about politics again. Tesla gonna Tesla.

Braveheart
New Hampshire goes blue! Ohio gonna be close but latest exit polling data saying Obama will carry. Nevada and Iowa still tight but promising young voter turnout would hint at an Obama carry and take respectively. Ohio gonna be fucking close but looking really good for an Obama carry. THIS STATE WILL DECIDE IT. Virginia and Florida down to the wire but the electoral college data in florida is that lots of votes still to count in mainly strong democratic colleges. My call is that Virgina will stay blue and Florida is a toss up but I think Romney might carry it.

bazzatron
Whats with the US having ballot box scandals at every election. Bush beat Gore due to Florida ballot papers going "missing", I think that same year, the hole-punch system they were using didnt actually punch the holes correctly/cleanly so leaving a lot of ballot papers invalid. Now this year the electronic touch-screen system has a glitch that randomly changes the choice the voter has selected. Also people who have been relocated due to the hurricane were allowed to email votes in, can you believe that EMAIL your vote. I read a story where someone tried 3 times to email their vote in and the email bounced 3 times so they called up and were told to postal vote. Its a fucking joke. I'm glad our system is as simple as it is, all you need to do is write the numbers 1 through 10 on one form and tick a box on the other. How easy is that!

I'm glad our system is as simple as it is, all you need to do is write the numbers 1 through 10 on one form and tick a box on the other. How easy is that! Long story short. The unreliability and ineptitude in the electoral system comes from the a few key sources but they are central to the ethos of American democracy so they will never change. 1- States: Each state has INCREDIBLY different voting rules, regulations, vote casting and counting systems, preference distribution systems. Each Electoral College( ie Australian Seat) in each state does things differently. This includes the technology with which votes are cast. There is no centralisation or uniformity to each state because each state sees themselves as "fiercely independent". The right of each state to do things their own way is central to American life. The centralised government we are used to here is despised by the States thus the federal government would not dare impose nationwide regulations on such a touchy topic 2- Electoral Administration: There is no one, central, independent body ie Australia Electoral Commission that administers elections. Polling is carried out and votes are counted by Party Officials who are not impartial and are financial members of either party. 3- Funding for Elections: The federal government because of the lack of centralisation does not provide enough funding to carry out election polling, so poorer areas have poorer technology and fewer resources with cast and count votes. Also, keeping people in line to vote for hours on end is expensive because you have to make them want to stay because voting is not compulsory. So you have to feed them, water them, entertain them and provide security etc. This all costs shitloads of money. This also ties into the next point about unpredictability 4- Voluntary voting: America is fiercely proud of its voluntary voting credo and one side effect of this is that it is incredibly hard to predict how many people will actually turn out to vote so as a result for instance today in florida there were some people waiting in line for 8 hours to cast a ballot. Last election in Ohio one College(ie Seat) experienced a huge voter turnout with lines 8-9 hours long but the neighbouring county had a huge dip in voter numbers because there was a huge college football game the day before and people were either hungover or still partying. The American presidential voting system is archaic and deeply flawed but it will never change due simply to that everything done in american politics is done so on state lines and dominated by jingoism. Braveheart
btw I am in no way saying the Australian Voting system is perfect but if you believe in efficiency it light years ahead of the American farce.
Tesla
Going to keep posting till official results are in. Got trolled by the zionists. They blatantly installed Romney into the Republican nomination to make me think they were installing him as the president, but really they were installing Obama all along. All a ploy to discredit me. Well played zionists.
