Latest developments: $300k sponsorship of Adelaide by Football Australia till end of ACL group stage was agreed but FFA had the AFC overturn it, despite the AFC approving it just days before. "AFC has been informed by Football Federation Australia that the sponsor advertising on shirts requested by Adelaide United is political in nature". Possible $1mil a season sponsorship for Adelaide for the next 2 years as well, doubt it will go through now though. Potential pre season tournament on the Gold Coast organised by Football Australia before next season, featuring Adelaide, Brisbane Roar, Gold Coast United (interdasting?), Brisbane Strikers, and 4 Asian teams.
