TheStig
Anybody care to conjecture why the APL would make such a rule change?

jw1739
And qualification for the Champions League...? For goodness' sake. WTF are we doing? Honestly, it seems to me that APL is hell-bent on doing everything possible to piss off fans and turn the League into some Mickey Mouse competition.
D.B. Cooper
It does seem like they continually employ “non football people” these people are completely out of touch with the game and thus just do “weird shit”. Some of what they do is very harmful, other things, like this, are just embarrassingly stupid. 2

Out of interest I looked back at the last few years' final league tables (may have missed one or two) and I didn't see any where this thought bubble would have made a difference by the end of season. I would like to know what the AFC thinks about it. Why we have to buck what AFAIK pertains throughout the rest of the football world just beggars belief. It also bothers me that our clubs don't seem to raise a whimper at this sort of crap.
