  1. I can't help but think Mooy has exceeded expectations and was meant to play a lesser/different role than Koren. As it is, Mooy has starred whilst Koren, injured early on, has struggled.
  2. By getting injured allowing us to bring Dzeko in as an injury replacement?
  3. I think it is the latter. Harry's decision making is often poor. Blast it from anywhere. Then again options are often short up front so perhaps he could shine but it is hard to tell. In my post that you replied to Tony, I was referring to the non-marquee players like Finkler, Dmitrijevic, and Adelaide's foreign legion. Visa playing spots can be used a lot better.
  4. Its not a fashionable position here but I agree with you. He isn't fast or mobile but what he does he does very well. We aren't using him at all. I think along these lines. The fellow can hardly walk and he didn't sign himself. Nor did he set the game plan.
  5. Adelaide has, Visitors have, Brisbane has, Wellington has, Sydney has...
  6. Highlights: http://www.impactmontreal.com/en/news/2015/04/highlights-club-america-1-1-montreal I was working whilst the game was played. A good result for Montreal but looked outplayed for most of it. I suspect there will be more goals in the second leg and so Impact can't rely on the away goal. A very good result away from home. Edit: A bit of controversy as well http://www.mlssoccer.com/ccl/news/article/2015/04/23/champions-league-montreal-impact-fume-after-controversial-call-keeps-club-am
  7. If Perth are the benchmark for the side with a salary cap breach, then the cap is too low. To compete with other codes and simply attract those used to a higher standard of football, players that can complete passes, finish attacking moves, clear the ball sensibly, have an excellent first touch etc. are a must. I believe the salary cap should stay, but be increased. Perhaps the smaller clubs may need some assistance to remain viable and grow the game in regional centres. Also I think an extra marquee spot would help bring in better talent to assist the Australian players develop and to make the league more exciting. A second marquee could also be valuable if one doesn't end up being quite as good as first thought. Like Rob...
  8. Again other clubs being linked with players before the end of the season with none apparently coming our way. Visitors with McLaren and Perth with Golec. You would think that with Melbourne's lack of striking threats, a player like McLaren would be heavily linked. But no. Instead he may be on his way to the Navy blue, and we have high and wide Willo and stay at home Josh. You couldn't make this stuff up.
  9. Completely untrue. He copped a lot of shit from mcf being a Serb and all but he isn't that stupid. Plus he's still alive. Off topic, but I am curious. Is the BBB still around or part of the MCF? I have not been around those parts for quite a few years.
  10. Reports are saying we've been showing or we were showing some interest in Galekovic. One of the last Falcons players still in the A-League. I think John Hutchinson and some bit part striker at another Melbourne club are the only ones left. Still quality, as Eugene showed against Sydney a few weeks ago. Sign him up!
  11. "Yes Minister" mentioned by date. I still think of it as pop culture .
  12. I'm sure that we aren't that dull, that's why we aren't visitors supporters Now, with a bit of beat and perhaps a little tweak of the second part, it sounds like you have the makings of a chant there yourself Bela.
  13. I think it's a great idea to have another terrace at the north end. Then there could be a chant from the south end singing "we're south stand, we're south stand, we're south stand over here". And then, the north stand could reply with ...
  14. Wasn't Michael Owen listed as a Melbourne Heart striker on Wikipedia a few years ago? it would make sense. We do affiliate with injured players. A lot. You are correct about injuries and this club. The point I was making is Wikipedia is not all that reliable when it comes to getting factual information.
  15. Game was pretty epic. It'll be so MLS if Montreal wins it all. The worst team in the league the last couple of years winning the first CCL trophy in league history. That's how the WSW were last year right? I think Impact has a better side this season than last. Still not enough for a championship team but done well to get to the CONCACAF final and might snatch it. Bush in goals is a bit suspect. I think a keeper for any top league side should have saved the last two let in against Alajualense. But you can only win the battle with the troops you have. Hopefully the final will go to Montreal. Did you see how Club America got into the Final? Don't think Montreal has any chance. Amateur's. 5-0 Montreal.

  18. Impact through to the CONCACAF Champions League final despite going down 4-2 away in the second leg to Alajualense. http://www.impactmontreal.com/en/news/2015/04/highlights-impact-eliminates-alajualense-and-reaches-champions-league-finals
  19. Before any move towards Asia, CFG should take note of Vincent Tan's idea for Cardiff and ensure that the red of our colour scheme is predominate.
  20. We will make a number 3 of him yet!
  21. I can name quite a few players who looked shithouse in red and white and a coach or two as well. Fortunately most of them (but not all) are no longer with us. I wasn't talking ability. The highlights from the Sydney match reminded me how much classier, brighter and bolder the red and white is compared to baby blue http://www.foxsports.com.au/video?v=syd-v-mcy-match-highlights_1227272097068&vc=204 Also had our worst loss this year in red and white and given our history, heavily associated with failure Didn't you go to the last derby?
