  1. It's the aim of a lot of opposition players and managers to achieve this. Not sure we have a plan B if it happens.
  2. Thank you guys! Heard that one loud and clear! And that appalling ref. Second half performance was one eyed.
  3. And yet not a bad performance all told. We've had most of the play, hit the bar and drawn three brilliant saves. Brisbane are vile and the ref is giving us nothing.
  4. The chant "Aloisi, what a wanker, what a wanker" scans beautifully and would be entirely appropriate. Just sayin'... Dogs abuse would be entirely justified.
  5. As are Colazo and Franjic. Our defence looks better with both of them in it. And both can cross.
  6. I'm leaning towards red. I gave the white shirt an outing for the Nix (squad rotation) but got to go red for this one. Might even opt for the old Heart shirt since this is a historic night.
  7. Indeed we do. And we're much ruder too, and about the ref. Never understood the apparent embargo on being vile about your footballing neighbours in Australia....
  8. Like the rest of us, citizenship requires four years in Australia, at least one on PR.
  9. Electronic delivery for our non-active tickets.
  10. But first we need to get in a lot more crosses and improve our set piece delivery...
  11. Absolutely. For those reasons alone Geelong looks a strong bid, with a ready made stadium. Will also be dead easy for me to watch City away, and will give me a ready made second team to watch when City are interstate...
  12. 14-16 team league would work logistically, since that's 26-30 matches per season. Any more and realistically we're going to need one of a. a longer season b. another league or c. regular midweek fixtures.
  13. The reason we're now full season members is that we've done the 3 match memberships, last season twice, for a couple of seasons. They are excellent for people who can't commit to every match, and for those who are making a greater commitment than individual matches. Great approach IMHO in moving fans to a greater level of commitment.
  14. I'd agree with you. It's an obvious pick providing it has a good business plan.
  15. Read recently that a strong candidate for a new franchise might well be Geelong. A Tassie franchise pitched in the last week, but was knocked back. Think that will happen eventually though.
  16. Me too. No sign ours and we ordered as soon as they came out for members.
  17. Sylaidos impressed me at the pre season match in Ballarat. If he's only 16, that's even more impressive.
  18. For a winger, he does a lot of (very effective) work tracking back, tackling and winning possession. Very brave too given his size.
  19. Trump is president. Any kind of bad shit can and probably will happen.
  20. And our legs had gone because of playing midweek. IMHO part of the Adelaide gameplan was always to hope we would tire late on.
  21. My phone is clearly a closet handbag sympathiser. As a pom who lived through the eighties 'Thatcher' truly is a scary word, and not the one I intended to use. Phone duly booked in for Marxist re-education...
  22. This marks a real cultural difference between here and the UK in terms of football culture. As a League 1 club, if we won a cup tie against a big club, or won promotion, then it would be expected thatcher would be a mass pitch invasion, mobbing the players, probably carrying them shoulder high, and celebrating in front of the main stand. All good natured. The stadium announcer would go through a ritual of asking everyone to stay off the pitch, but they would be ignored, and no one would get in trouble. But in so many ways, the policing of soccer crowds here is largely fearful and completely over the top.
