Grand final 2021, Sunday 27th June, AAMI Park, 5.05 pm

What a great performance. Fully deserved the win, and even better considering the players that were missing. It was great to see so many fans in the stadium. it's been a shit year with covid, and not been able to go to games. It's taken a few years, but finally you have a team to be proud of, and I am sure they will be winning a few more trophies in the next few years. Congratulation lads, and I am sure many of you are well pissed by now!! -
Why wasn't he given 15 to 20 minutes? One opportunity to show something and he laid it on a plate for JMac, who should have had a second. I would probably play him behind Jmac to begin with in the next game. We need someone who can create in the midfield.

Matchday 15: v Newcastle - Saturday 18th January 7.30pm at AAMI Park

That was an awful game to watch and having taking an early lead you would have thought we would have gone on to win easily. There wasn't one player that showed any urgency to get the game moving. Why did we leave it so late with the substitutions? It was crying out for someone to come on and show a bit of spark to liven the game up. We do really need to get rid of Berenguer. He brings nothing to the team whatsoever. At least Susaeta showed that he can pick a player out with that cross to McLaren late on. Hopefully he can bring that creativity we lack. -
He didn't and is unlikely to figure much if at all for the first team this season. Even though Sinclair is leaving he has Forrest, Johnston, Elyounoussi ahead of him. Also Marian Shved the young Ukranian winger who we bought for £1.3m may also be ahead of him. Also, add to this the fact we are in a proper title challenge this year means there will be little room for taking a gamble on a young unproven winger.

Matchday 5: v Central Coast - Friday 8th November 7:30pm at AAMI Park

A great performance yesterday and the most complete team performance for a long while. It's good to see Noone on the right, because he is more effective coming inside on his stronger foot. The midfield were excellent and for me Brilliante shaded Griffiths for MOTM, with Metcalfe not far behind. In defence Galloway, Delbo and Curtis were excellent, but Jamieson and Bouzanis were poor IMO. I am not convinced with Wales or Luna at the moment. I would actually like to see Luna move to the left when McClaren is back and see if he can produce the goods for us there. It's great to be top, but I do believe there is so much more to come from this team. Maybe we can move out Florin and the Austrian in January and bring in at leat onw more forward who will contribute better than those two. -
Bouzanis reminding us of why he is a useless keeper. I can have put that in the near post with the space he gave at the near post. Then we almost copped for another when he failed to come out and collect an easy through ball. I wish the manager would switch the wide men. They then could cut in on their stronger foot and also allow space for the full backs to overlap.

Even though it wasn’t the most exciting game, it was light years ahead of the bile that has been served up in the last two seasons. At least the team played on the front foot whenever they had the chance.

Matchday 1: Melbourne Derby - Sat 12th October 7.30pm at Marvel Stadium

I feel we could have won this game with a couple of tweaks in the forward line. By that I mean swapping over Noone and Luna, so that they could be coming inside on their stronger foot and may have been able to get some shots on target, especially has we had no forward in there to hit with crosses. We definitely were the stronger team in the second half. This enabled Metcalfe to get forward more, just a shame he couldn’t have connected better with his shots. Overall, I was happy with the performance and the point. I just think it is ridiculous that games are played when internationals are on. It weakens teams and the best match going fan loses out by not seeing the best players on the field. -
That was a great interview, He is very positive and a leader. If we are going to lose Bart, then we may have found a great replacement for him.

I do believe that you are in for a much better season entertainment wise this season. Hopefully, with that the results will also come. One of the best seasons we had at City, was when we were in the 2nd division and Kevin Keegan took over. We scored over a 100 goals and the football was a joy to watch. I believe for all fans, attacking attractive football is number one on their list.

The point is that if you watched his united reserves, then you would have realised how boring and defensive he was. I am totally bewildered why CFG allowed Marwood to appoint the idiot!
-
Wikipedia describes him as an attacking midfielder, although anyone can edit that, but I would guess that may be accurate in this case.
-
Well let's hope he can help you forget the turgid football you have had to watch in the last 2 years. Also, he is allowed to bring in his own players, rather than rejects from Adelaide!
-
If they are clearing out the backroom staff, it would suggest they have may have already agreed a deal with someone. It could be he will be announced after the end of this month. I just hope they get this appointment right and improve the squad.

I have never really gone lol Just perused the forum without logging on, hoping the powers that be got their heads into gear and got rid of that idiot Joyce. It's very difficult to comment on the turgid football that has been on show for you lads this season. I am convinced if we had a manger with a more positive attitude, that the players are there to finish higher than they did. Possibly even to get to the Grand Final. It's just been a total fuck up by the management, and I put the blame firmly on Marwood's shoulders for the crap season you guys have had.
