Success of the team lies in working together. It is the responsibility of a manager to make sure his players are utilised to their full potential. This is where the whole ‘Management Skills’ come into the picture. The most important aspect of the job of a manager is “People Management.” If you are not good with the people you are managing and you cannot expect to get the best results. The manager must be able to handle all sorts of personalities if he is to be successful. We all know of the temperamental superstar how would Joyce manage: George Best. Diago Maradona, Roy Kean, Eric Cantona, Vinney Jones, Luis Suarez etc. He would have them out the door because he has no man management skills. He is not a manager he is a PE teacher “do as you are told or you are out the door.”

A striker would have made a difference yes their keeper was good but a lot of our shots were straight at him if they were directed into a corner we may have come away with more than nothing. I also think Wellington made it easier for us by slowing play down and not attacking with speed as they did in the first half

As far as I am aware Maclaren signed a 1 year loan contract with Hibs which expires at the end of the season. Nothing on Hibs website to suggest it has been mutually terminated. I do not know how long it takes to terminate his loan and arrange a loan with us but getting Scottish clearance and then German clearance may take days to tie up paper work.

Caceres and O'Halloran out and now Malik. Bruno sitting in the stand. That is 4 senior players out of the first team squad. We so far have managed to get by without them. But we need to replace at least 2 of them. Is Malik leaving going to be the final kitty money required to bring in the 2 forward thinking players. Time is running out the window is closing fast. The last thing we need is panic signings.

To have any chance of finishing 2 or 3 we need to win all our three remaining matches. If we do win our three games that will give us 36 points but our goal difference is inferior to those teams around us Sydney in their 3 remaining games need only 1 win and 2 draws to finish with 36 points but would finish above us on goal difference. Victory in their 3 remaining games need 2 wins to achieve 36 points again they would finish above us on goal difference. Therefore finishing 2 or 3 is achievable if we win our 3 games and score goals. The top 3 play each other and will drop points. Joyce must go all out to win our next 3 games we have nothing to lose and everything to gain

It is easy to find negatives and there are plenty of them. But this morning I enjoyed a very entertaining game. Yes we left ourselves a bit exposed at the back when chasing the game however what did come to light this morning was when we attack, we can score goals with or without a striker. How many times do we score 4 goals with Joyce in charge, he needs to get the defensive block out of his system and play a more balanced tactic.

That was entertainment with a capital E
