Oh for a decent winger and Centre forward. But we do not need them. We can use players out of position to compensate example two full backs; DeLaet as striker and Atkinson as a winger. We need both a striker and a winger very quickly. But I believe Joyce knows top 2 out of his reach already and safe in a top 6 position. He may therefore continue with the development of Australian players giving them game time every week and not bring in new faces.

The only reason we attacked quicker in the second is because we were chasing the game and they were defending a lead. Our attacking stopped at the edge of their box, where we had no creativity or guile to beak them down. As I said at half time the only way we were going to score was a set piece or a stunning shot from distance. Just as you state Joyce will defend a lead so he has also to attack when the team is chasing a win. Why can they not attack with pace all the time rather than this desire to win the possession stats. It is time he got it into his thick head only one stat counts and that is goals scored.

I agree but Joyce will not do that as it is admitting his team is not good enough to compete with Perth. He must put a belief in his players that they can beat Perth.

Joyce stated he would like to rest players over the next 3 games. I believe, he does not have the personnel to do that. We play 2 of the bottom 3 and Perth. He cannot afford to play anything but his best team team against Perth. Therefore in my opinion, he has to rest his key players against the bottom 3 teams. Our last game was against a bottom 3 team Brisbane and we struggled to hold on. So does it make sense to rest key players against CMC and WSW. First of all who can he rest in tomorrows games Delbridge gets a rest due to suspension and I think this will be the only player missing from the Brisbane starting 11. He also has a problem resting players with the use of subs due to DeLaet's injury. If the reports are to believed, he is having injections to get him through 60'-70' (I am surprised Villa have authorised this). Therefore, he has to save 2 subs until DeLaet has come off because if he uses 2 subs before removing DeLaet he runs the risk of a player picking up an injury in the last 15 mins and having no one left to raplace DeLaet or the injured player. Resting players sounds like a good idea but we do not have the quality of players in depth to do this due to injuries, suspensions and players not available for whatever reason. If we want to keep this run going we cannot afford to rest key players

If we look at the other side of the coin, the problem may be Bruno. He could quit simply stick his two fingers up at Joyce and say, he does not want to be sold or terminate his contract. No one knows what the problem is and Bruno could end up calling Joyce out by saying play me or put me in the stand because I am going nowhere and you will not be getting my salary to buy a replacement. What I am saying it has to be a two way agreement for Bruno to leave the club. The true reason for Bruno not playing or Joyce not playing Bruno may never come to light as players and staff have confidentiality clause inserted into there contracts.

Don't worry Joyce will select his best 11 players and find a position for them in his 4:2:3:1 formation

I voted for DeLaet. He gave 100% playing out of position and without his goal we would not have won.

I agree DeLaet is looking lost as a striker and we are losing his attacking ability from right back. Atkinson saw a player coming and closed his eyes waiting to be hit and missed an open goal. I would have subed him for that is not acceptable be a man a take the hit and score.

I see it as the usual 4:2:3:1 DeLaet Delbridge Bart Jamo ..........Baccus..Good ...McGree Brattan Griffiths .............Wales He is a creature of habit he will play this formation and make the players fit it. I did think he would have been more attacking at home against one of the bottoms teams and needing to improve goal difference. But he has proved me wrong before with his selections. I would have played Najjarine and Good to the bench the bench playing 4:1:4:1.

Playing devils advocate. Joyce's philosophy play well and train well and you keep your place in the team. If we continue on this unbeaten streak and the players train well and play well. When will he play his new players. He has proven with this unbeaten streak at moment he does not need them other than for cover.
