Libero
Thought it wouldn't be the worst idea to make a thread about player wages, pretty interesting IMO. personally, have no idea what sort of money the players are on, but this OP could be updated when new links to player wages are found. also could help to get my mind off the fact that we are selling our #1 goalscorer, and have only signed a goalkeeper this pre-season - a good one, mind you. NuggetsMcGreggor
player wages are a confidential part of an agreement. we're never going to get exact amounts of each contract. it's all hearsay and rumour basically. that being said i'd be interested in a bit of a comparison between different players. ie i believe Germano is on minimum wage. which is ridiculous when Hoffman isn't

Hendo
China, hilarious. Conca gets 200k a week, Anelka something ridiculous the rest are literally on peanuts. Edited May 31, 2012 by Hendo
Duchess
Genuinely shocked at that average. But would be interesting to know it, excluding marquee players. Obviously people like Cool skew that a fair bit
Tesla
China, hilarious. Conca gets 200k a week, Anelka something ridiculous the rest are literally on peanuts. Any idea what year thats from? I assume its old, given the salaries in China these days, and even in uzbekistan these days. If not, then they really are on peanuts. jw1739
It comes from here: http://images.the-afc.com/Documents/reports/smt/pro_leagues_clubs_Financial_Analysis.pdf 30-page document. Document published 22nd November 2009, so I would guess these are the figures for 2007-08 season(s).
belaguttman
The average salary figure is distorted by players on large payments to a small number of players. It'd be more relevant to get median salary figures but I'm sure that they are harder to find.

schrecky
Since its all just speculation, have a look at this site to get a base line on their Guess. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/melbourne-heart-fc/kader/verein_25580.html It has me baffled how you fit 23 blokes into a 2.3m Cap (excluding marquees)

belaguttman
Their market value would be the 'transfer price', not the salary.
heart_fan10
Their market value would be the 'transfer price', not the salary. yeah i know, but to think his 'transfer price' is higher than most of the team is hilarious
