Shahanga
the press are reporting we are talking to Lydia Williams. This might surprise a few who assumed we go for Barbieri?Barbieri is the Matildas No 2 and a local icon, so would be a good signing, but you can't really compare her to Williams, who is the younger & now the better keeper. To me Barbieri is more of your old Heart style signing. Going after the very best is a real sign of intent by city.
illeatyourheart
Williams clearly the better choice. Will be particularly good if we have Sorenson around the club to help her and Tando improve. Our facilities clearly are very inticing for these W-League players in particular.
Kinnibari
Yeah, slightly surprising but then again not, since Williams is a great keeper. We might also try and sign Bubs, but I don't know if being based in Melbourne would be enough for her if she wasn't starting.
fidrildid6
Melissa Barbieri just put on facebook she will no longer play for adelaide as she is moving back to Melbourne. I would be very happy to have her, she is still the #2 best gk in Australia.

fidrildid6
She's rubbish, Brianna davey is better or makenzie arnold Harsh. are you basing that on her conceding 3 goals to the eventual world cup winners? Experience is important too.

Experience is important too.I don't think experience should be placed before actual ability and fwiw i didn't think she covered herself in glory in the usa match
Tommykins
Brianna Davey has signed. Desperately unlucky not to be in the World Cup squad. Mentioned as a possible elite level AFL player too.
