silva10
JVS will be given time even if results go against him They will be hoping for a play off place, but will understand there are a lot of changes going on and give him at least 18 months to sort things out. Whatever you think of the new owners they don't do knee jerk reactions.

Whatever you think of the new owners they don't do knee jerk reactions. After that kind of "patience" shown over the last couple of years with JA, one would hope that the club would give him a chance to rectify things, but ultimately would know when its best to move him on if things don't go well. The damage over past seasons needs to be repaired, and any sign of letting average performances off the hook will not go down well with fans. Falastur
FYI, George Evans has signed an extension to his contract at Manchester City. Read into that how you will.

Whatever you think of the new owners they don't do knee jerk reactions. JVS has already had 2.5 seasons to show his stuff. Personally I would rate his performance as 6/10 but I'm no expert on football. Mostly I question whether he has the right mental strength to take Heart all the way. Happy to be proven wrong but JVS's inability to win more than one away game in his last stint for us was very de ja vu for me. And given the resources that he will have and the players if Heart don't win the comp in the next three years I will probably consider my current hesitations justified. Gary Ablett went on to revered in the V/AFL after all. Anyway I'd rather a left back right now.
Kinkladze
ex Man City protege Ched Evans is due for release from prison in October. Ched Evans > George Evans A convicted rapist will go down well Its still not been proven either way that he did it or not. It seems very strange than McDonald got off scot free, in the circumstances it seems sure that either they were both guilty or both innocent, and their seems to have been some dodgy stuff going on with the cops. http://www.chedevans.com/
Kinkladze
The crack head. Strange they're trailing him, 24 & playing in league 2. Why not contact James Meredith! The greatest striker in A-League history was playing in the 7th tier of English football a year before coming here, don't see any problem with trialling a guy from the 4th tier. Smeltz played in the 5th tier FYI, but the point still stands.

drewmelbcity
Yes, I think that's George Evans. I don't mind us trialling youngsters if jvs can see potential then maybe they are players we can have for 3 to 5 years
Heart_fan
I think over time the commentators/experts of the game have said that issue is that unless these players are better than anything available in Australia, we really shouldn't be looking overseas for development type players. If they are better, go for it though. With CFG now on board this will likely need to be mixed in with some form of player development for their broader squad. One would hope though that the club would have looked at all available talent in Australia first, rather than just overlooking those options and chasing foreign players.
