I am too but this sort of deal could lock in the 'maybe I'll renew' types. Those of us that will keep coming back will just get the benefit. Ultimately it depends on the proportions of each as to whether it's worth it to the club.

He has been but remember when he played with Josip in the derby they played really well together. I would give him and eli a start together. People tend to forget too quickly how quality he has been for us at the time leading up to the derby we were wondering if they could play together and it turned out fine for that game. Yes, Eli was quality in season two and i wonder how good he could have been this year if he stayed with us rather than his trip to Red Star that seemed to both damage his confidence and his development. But since his return he's yet to come good and because of that, i think it's probably time to rest him and play either Gol Gol or Tadic if fit. Eli would have been first on the team sheet had he stayed, but not now. Not until he starts scoring goals like season 2.

Yarraside was great as always but also liked the addition of the drums and trumpets down the other end. Where did they come from? Also liked the new MC for the game, much better than the other joker. Solid performance from the team, Tex Walker and Vranks were fantastic. Looking forward to next week.

Breaking chairs is stupid, no one can argue it was a good idea. It reflects badly on the club, and us. I remember reading on here about it happening last derby at etihad. People here did it, or know who did. Wake up to yourselves kids. It's embarrasing for all of us. Also means less people at games because, with state of the art CCTV at AAMI, the kids that did it will be either too scared to show their face next game for fear of getting charged, or they will be nabbed when they arrive.

This is a good point. Each time he's played it's his lack of pace that's let him down. Pace in the LB and RB positions is important for the way we play which may hold him back for a long term future with us. Perhaps that's why JA went with Hoff last week. We clearly have a number of positions to strengthen in midfield and defence.
