Marwood coming to Melb. Cahills comments post socceroos win and subsequent departure. Disciplinary issues. Dont get me wrong, the team is doing okay! Our first 4 games showed so much promise. The 4 to follow reflected the deeper instability. I hope we are now finding our feet and these changes will bring the consistency we desire, but we have had many of these moments that have heralded change only to be a let down. We hope things are different now, but our experience tells us otherwise. I dont disagree with this. Looking good going forward, tough time in the present.

It is no cooincidence that when the club is in shambles then so is its community. Such a shame, we have endured the underachieving potential route for too long. Too many excuses, constant deferrals and so much inconsistency has bread intolerance on the forum, amongst the players, CFG staff and beyond. What we want is consistency, good football and some fucking hope for the future to pull us out of our too-long endured slumber.

Kilkennys long balls to Brattan were spicy. His pace and reflex were not 100% but he has not played in a long time. Certainly liked him and Jamo working in partnership - they seem to read eachother well despite nearly murdering eachother in times gone by

Moral of the story - we are not a European club by any standard. But if you want atmosphere (whether 1 or cranked to 11), get yourself to a game. Tv wont cut it. And before we slag foxtel, the Derby from Etihad. We were cranked up. Had the mics around us. Must be strategic, maybe they mic the away section to hopefully balance out and make the game appear to have equal support?

Both me and the Mrs thought active was outstanding Sunday night. Trumpet is a great feel - mexican flare from the Syd game. Also, the drummer was absolutely on point. Being a muso myself, they did not miss a beat and added extra to change the feel of the chants. Well done!

Hope to see him make an appearance! Certainly brings a bit of spice on the field. Cant see Syd winning from open play given how strong our defence has been. Also cannot see us scoring in similar circumstances. All in all, prediction is 1 nil either way from set piece. Love to see City smash Sydney though. It really sets the precedent for the season not only that we are the team to beat but that we are title favourites. Who knows, by seasons end our stats could be similar to Sydney of last season.
