Offside as a very offside thing. No goal. Thought you were talking about the offside before the goal, but as you say, take your pick. However, on the balance of play, Nix deserve their lead. -

And Bart's yellow card which wasn't even a foul. -

IMHO we're getting nothing out of this. -
In the team for Sydney, or a home debut vs Adelaide??
-
That certainly won't have helped. He's best playing centrally.
-
Yes, he's been a bit part player this season when we needed him as cover for the no 9 spot. Appears to be struggling with injury at just the wrong time. Which was fabulous. But there hasn't been enough of that this season.

Fascinated that we are looking seriously for two additions, not just one. -
Nice bloke, been a good player, especially last season. He goes with my best wishes, and I hope it will do wonders for his retirement fund. Someone Wazza got the best out of, by the simple expedient of trusting him and playing him in his natural position. And I think we can now assume incoming.
-
Marginal I'd say, but with Malik presumably gone, and the need to have each position covered, that means the ideal would be four centre backs. So Bart, Delbo, Good and La Rocca. We could muddle through without La Rocca, but it would only take one to go down and we'd be relying on kids. We also want cover if we go three at the back.
-
Last Wazza press conference indicated he was fit. So yes, I suspect that he is moving on. An area of the pitch where we've probably got too many options, so don't see this as a problem. Though I thought a couple of weeks ago that is might be Rostyn who was moved on.

This has been the most legit rumour for weeks, and this all looks solid and credible.

Duke??

Their results have been poor. Their performances haven't. -

Given the fabulous entertainment last night, a lot of the comments on here are incredibly negative. It seems a lot of people forget that WSW's results have been a lot worse than their recent performances. This was a team that was deservedly 3-1 up against Perth with only minutes to go last week. They had pace to burn and caused our previously rock solid defence a lot of problems. Meanwhile, apparently, our system doesn't work offensively but we scored four goals. Go figure. Folks, we'll finish fourth, we won't win the Toilet Seat, but I'd rather get there with a few more games like that. Last night was a proper, entertaining contest and I'm bloody glad I went. -

Yes. -
Bold stuff. He's right of course, and Jamo said something similar a couple of weeks back, but less bluntly.
-
Zwolle are currently spanking Feyenoord 3-1, so doing better post JVS it seems. Bouzanis and Genreau haven't featured so far...

My take on this. We concede very few, but don't score many more. Perth, however, given the chance, score for fun. They've had some goal fests of the 4-3 variety. They've often engaged in "we'll score more than you" pissing contests with the opposition and come out on top. Had we played their game, we'd have lost. So logically, out tactics were to prevent them scoring. If we scored, it was going to be a bonus. A wet blanket strategy. The question remains why we find ourselves so poor offensively that this is our only logical approach to this match. More frustrating, Perth are top of the league, and on the evidence of their games with us, they're not much to speak of. Imagine what we would be able to do to them with some attacking threat, and how the league might look if that were the case? We're not that far off being a really good side. But just far enough to have to endure turgid shite like that. -

We were the first team to prevent Glory scoring this season.
