30 days to go and the season starts! Squad seems still not complete, missing one or two critical players and no sign of a marquee. Is everybody still convinced that CFG is ahead of the game? Or are us pessimist slightly slowly proven right regarding marquee budget, salary cap and Tim Cahill. I would love to be proven wrong by round one.

Maybe concerning but not surprising, other teams seem to have recruited better, our team isn't just going to walk over other teams. it's only preseason We haven't really improved the squad that much for various of reasons compared to last season with the exception of Bart. Also the influence of a coach is sometimes overrated it's just too late in their careers for Wazza to turn average players like Kamau, Malik and the likes into good players. It's been said before, you will win shit in this league if you can't field your all visa players, big earners and marquees in the first eleven.

Well some people have other concerns as in different parts on the pitch, in wingers and linking midfield up with attack. And there's people who believe our squad is just really good and full of depth.

Well that's initially based on just the ankle fracture, I won't be surprised if there's ligament damage too. @jw1739 - the guy already got a yellow card for it so it was picked up by the ref, usually they can't overrule this into a red or suspension.

No friendlies lined up? I actually don't mind playing Timmy upfront and see how that works, Bruno has never missed a game so we've never really tried that I believe. Both of them upfront isn't an option.

Our Bouzanis was his usual self, all I can remember is a big mistimed fiddle in the first half and a quality pass over the side line in the second.

And Timmy will miss games due to Socceroo duty with friendlies lined up.

Maybe it's the type of opposition we play but we seem far behind in forward creativity vs teams like Sydney, WSW, Adelaide etc.
